Amazing rustic/modern mountain house , located just 15min from SnowShoe , however this house it's not perfect just for a winter getaway ,around we have amazing hiking trails, bike trails and hunting grounds.
The House has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the kitchen is fully equipped and the front porch is perfect for relaxing at any time of the year. You can enjoy in HotTub.

Summary: The home is beautiful and in a very peaceful area. There were however a few issues that definitely affected the stay and enjoyment. First, the bottom floor was very damp and had a mildew scent to it. It was uncomfortable enough of a feeling that we didn’t really even enjoy going through it to go to the jacuzzi which we had to do daily. It never really got better. Secondly there is no laundry machine or dryer in a home this big and that was a real downer. Having to take all our dirty laundry to launder elsewhere is so inconvenient here that we had to travel home with our luggage filled with dirty clothes. Not pleasant at all! There are no laundromats anywhere near the home and we were not able to anyway because there is absolutely no internet or cell service anywhere in the surrounding towns and areas. Third, all of the linens smell of cigarettes. From the sheets to the blankets to the towels. We even grabbed towels from other locations in the home to try to find ones that did not have a cigarette smell and we could not find any. I don’t imagine a smoker would notice this but we smelled it every day. Lastly, there is the issue with some kind of scurrying thing in the walls and between the floors. It’s loud and freaked us out. We thought it was rats and were told by the property mgr. that it was just flying squirrels! Even if they are a protected species, there are humane & safe ways to remove them from inside your home and keep them out, so there really isn’t an excuse. SCARY!

Summary: This cabin was perfect for our fall getaway weekend! The area is gorgeous. The amenities at the cabin are so fun. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, very spacious, and cozy - perfect for our group of 12. So much fun. Thank you!

Summary: The cabin was great. Everything was nice and the area very quiet and relaxing. We were a group of motorcycle riders and the gravel road and slopes were very challenging for heavy cruiser bikes. May be ok for dual sports. We thought there was a laundry or at least a drier which was not there and the area does not have a laundromat.

Summary: First and foremost I need to give our host a shout out. They were very responsive and receptive to our feedback. The space is great for family gatherings. We visited in the summer and found plenty of activities near by for all ages. The little hike down to the creek from the house was enjoyable and not too difficult. The beds were very comfortable. Adequate linens were provided. There was a play pen available if needed too. It should be noted none of the sofas are sleepers when calculating sleeping spaces. We had plenty because one family didn't make it.We did see some air mattresses available for use. We didnt use the outdoor movie projector but we thoroughly enjoyed the firepit, grill, hot tub and the cornhole game. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The hideout was an experience to remember. It is rare that you can find a place so remote that you are literally amongst the trees. If you want civilization, it is a short drive up the mountain to Snowshoe. Best of both worlds. We loved it.

Summary: It’s a nice little adventure trying to find the house (big thank you to the owner for the Google coordinates). The house was very nice and definitely roomy. It was a nice getaway. There aren’t very many stores in the area so come prepared. If you do go into town, there are Dollar Generals and nice people about 20 minutes away.

Summary: My family and I loved the house. House was a little tricky to get to but well worth it. Wifi at the house was great and allowed me to work a bit each day to keep on top of stuff. There is NO cell signal but wifi calling worked great at the house.
