Summary: The property was lovely, and the hosts couldn't have been more accommodating. While the photos show a tastefully furnished contemporary home, they don't do justice to the spaciousness of the primary bedroom, the bathroom, or the hallway (yes, hallway width matters!). We loved cooking in the kitchen and swimming in the pool. And of course, Columbia County can't be beat. Views, hikes, farms, culture, history . . . The farm markets are wonderful (we liked Samascott the best), and the location allows for exploration of both the Hudson River valley and the Berkshires. We can't wait to go back!

Summary: The listing did not mention the other VBRO units on the property. I was assuming that we were the only unit sharing the property with the host but there were in fact 3-4 other rentals in the compound. No issues until the neighbor's music played well into the early morning. Furnishing were more modest than I anticipated and minor maintenance items (cupboard doors bath door) didn't close. Only one bedroom has a window AC. Needs printed instructions on how to access the TV and cable. Old Chatham is very rural and it worked for us nicely. Great hiking very close by. Town restaurant 200 yards away a plus.

Summary: The stay was fine but the property is not as advertised. This is not a bungalow. It is an apartment in a large home. There are several other apartments, as well. The listing states it's a bungalow which suggests a stand alone structure. This is not the case. The bathroom tub did not drain and there was a band aid stuck to the kitchen window.

Summary: I had a very comfortable long term stay at this property. Location is very central, near lots of great hiking areas, restaurants in OC and close to downtown Chatham. Great local produce and food available at farm stands nearby. Ann and Francois are lovely hosts and very accommodating. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you need, bed is very comfortable and the grounds are beautifully planted with nice outdoor seating. Looking forward to staying at this property again.
