4 Bedroom House in Jamesport

For years it has locally been known as the Hydrangea House because of all of its wonderful Hydrangea. Our home is ideally situated at the waterfront end of our 400' deep property overlooking the Peconic Bay. There is a recently renovated master bedroom with a king bed and full bathroom on the main floor tucked in a secluded corner for solitude and relaxation. The rest of the main floor includes another recenlty renovated full bathroom, eat-in-kitchen, living room, family room and laundry room. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances including gas stove top, electric oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave; as well as Calphalon pans, mixer, toaster, food processor, blender, baking pans and fine wine glasses. Everything to enjoy eating at home. Our home has central air conditioning but rarely needs it as a nice breeze comes off the water almost every afternoon. The living room has a working fireplace and large sliding glass doors with the views of the bay. The family room has a large flat screen tv with cable. Both the living room and family room lead to a large 60 foot deck spanning the width of the house. The deck has an outdoor table that seats 8, an umbrella as well as a separate seating area for cocktails and wine tasting. Adjacent to the deck is the gas grill that is connected to the house gas line. The outdoor shower is next to the door to the kitchen.
The backyard is big enough to play croquet, wiffle ball, badminton, catch .... There is a second deck closer to the bay for morning coffee or lunch. There are stairs that lead to a third deck area with another table and chairs, lounge chairs and a cabana for the storage of kayaks and paddle boards. Another set of stairs lead to the beach.
The second floor has three bedrooms and a half bath. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other two bedrooms each have two twin beds. We provide linens (all beds are made upon arrival), towels, beach towels and beach chairs.
The house is set back from the street which provides privacy and an expansive front yard for games of football or practicing your short game.
The yard is professionally manicured with numerous hydrangea bushes lining the driveway and parking area.
Please note that this house is not appropriate for parties or events. We ask that our guests do not have more than twelve people at the home at any time.

Summary: Honestly, I hesitate to write a review for this house, only for the fact that I don’t want other people to book it!! From the moment we booked the hosts were incredibly communicative and open to any questions we had. It was a seamless check-in and as soon as we walked through the front door, the view out onto the bay had us in love. We used every deck, the patio furniture was perfect, and having a separate living room from the sitting area was ideal for our small group. We hope to be back as soon as possible!!

Summary: The house is spacious, inviting, well appointed, and situated directly on the open Bay. We stayed the entire Fall season, complete with holidays and a modest snow storm - and loved every minute of it, from the freshly harvested seasonal vegetables to the gorgeous sunrises over the Peconic. Eileen and Jeff are caring, considerable hosts who made sure we had everything we needed as we transitioned to the cooler weather. Amazingly enough, the south facing private beach warmed up nicely along the calm waters of the Bay and we were able to enjoy an extended North Fork summer. The overall experience was truly exceptional, and we can’t wait to return.

Summary: This was the most amazing property we have stayed at and we rent out East every summer. The location is everything. The waterfront private beach has paddle boards, Kayaks, floats and more. We have 3 children and the youngest is 15 months and there was still something for everyone. My kids loved finding sand crabs and oysters at the beach and on the few rainy days playing inside with the blocks and dress up box. The house is also down the block from schmit’s farm stand and close to the grocery store. There are vineyards and family farms minutes away. We highly recommend this spot!

Summary: The pictures don't do the setting justice. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by an incredible view of the bay that never got old throughout the entire week. Eileen's home is very well maintained and the newer addition is top notch complete with laundry and an additional living/family room. Upstairs bedrooms were perfect for our small children and the beach level deck provided a great space for us to relax and play if the tide was up. The little beach was perfect for a dip, paddle or just to collect rocks. Our family had a great time and barely left the property. Eileen was communicative and helpful throughout though we didn't need much as the house had pretty much everything you could want. Thank you Eileen and we hope to stay again sometime soon!

Summary: My family and I rented for a month and our stay could not have been nicer. The views of the bay from anywhere in the house are beyond description and I can't imagine it ever getting old. The house is clean, very well maintained, and equipped with absolutely everything you need for a fun vacation. Owners are extremely responsible and the pride they take in the house comes through at every turn. Do not hesitate for a moment to book your stay here as it is worth every dollar We will definitely be back!!!

Summary: The place was so nice. The view was beautiful and there was a place for everyone to enjoy the vacation. From the back deck, to the deck overlooking the water, plus down below with sand in your toes. Perfect. The house was well equipped and we really enjoyed all that the North Fork had to offer. Close to farm stands, wineries, etc. The owner was easy to deal with and we were really happy we stayed here. There are still more wineries to explore, we will be back again.
