Positive: The property was spacious off the main road so it was quiet. The bed is king sized with a canopy that you can close to avoid any mosquitos. I didn’t see any. There is plenty of room to spread out and sit indoors or out. There’s a kettle, coffee, tea and sugar. There’s a fan, WiFi and breakfast. The bathroom is large with hot water. They provide soap. If you wash clothes, Ashini will hang it up for you to dry. You definitely need to ask Ashini to assist you in finding the best prices for Safaris, transportation and activities she will find you the best prices. I stayed here two nights. Ashini started this home stay this year and is doing everything right. She speaks good English and is very kind and friendly. I highly recommend that you stay here. You won’t get a better value for your money.

Negative: It was hot but there is a really good fan and it cools you down quickly.

Summary: Fantastic value. Great location. Clean and comfortable.

Positive: Highly recommend this place. Ashini and her family created an oasis. Calm area but still perfectly located. Everything nearby; nice restaurants, groceries and even the lake. The room is super well furnitured, modern and Ashini took care of every detail. She helped me with a Safari and protected me from paying too much for this . I had the most relaxing stay, a very well organised Safari and then after this even breakfast. I was sad I had to leave, would come back at any time. Thank you Ashini&family.

Positive: The place is really big and beautiful and it has everything you need even though they just started. Ashini and her family were also super nice and helpful. It’s very calm and full of birds singing beautifully. We had a great time here and will definitely stay here again! Thankyou Ashini!!

Positive: Ashini welcomed us super warmly in this beautiful home! We had such a nice and calm stay, everything is new and it's very spacious, we loved it so we extended our stay! Ashini gave us recommendations and she can assist you with booking a safari. The breakfast was big, made with love and yummy. Highly recommend this place!

Positive: Everything, the place is amazing, clean, very very well-maintained space and everything new. Ashini is worried that everyone has an amazing stay and she got it. She got bicycles for us and tuk tuk and she can arrange a Safari experience. Everything you need you can ask her. Thank you for your hospitality. The room is amazing, with a fridge, hot water and a big comfy bed and a good illumination in the room. The best breakfast in Sri Lanka for me

Positive: My stay at The Ivory Udawalawe was unforgettable. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were kind, and the meals both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The environment is calm and surrounded by nature, ideal for relaxing. A special thanks to Ashini, the owner, who arranged a wonderful safari for us. It was such a well organized and exciting experience. Her warmth and care made the whole stay truly special. Highly recommended!
