Positive: Staff was friendly and listened the staff. Place was ok, looks same than in photos. Thank you.

Negative: Electricity went off many times a day, air condition did not work then, was too hot and I couldn't leave food to the fridge either. Some changes for the breakfast would be nice, if staying long. Some small animals in the room, they tried to poison them, which was nice. Swimming pool would be nice when hot :)

Positive: Had a great stay at Jam Lodge! The bed was super comfortable, and I specifically appreciated the breakfast options, the fridge and microwave in the room, and the opportunity to iron my own clothes in a dedicated space.

Positive: It's a clean and private environment, polite and cooperative staff with an excellent manager. Service was quick. I didn't experience mosquitoes. Great hospitality.

Negative: I think I was basically OK with everything!

Positive: Overall, it is a very cosy hotel / lodge with strong management that's nearly always available Nice bar, restaurant, and gym on site. In a good location with strong security

Positive: Patricia (the Manager) was very helpful and service minded. Breakfast is included in the price, and the hotel has a laundry service. Tasty dishes from Sierra Leone are served, the selection is somewhat limited and must be ordered at least 1 hour in advance. The hotel location is OK, but things are a bit far. Freetown is a city where it is difficult to find a good location at a decent price. I think the beds were too soft, and soundproofing is not good in the older building, you hear traffic noise from the street and other hotel guests outside the room. There are pictures of a new building on Booking, but the building was not completed when I was there.

Negative: The hotel helped me book a private car with a driver to Monrovia, Liberia. However, the company suddenly wanted to have gasolin money on top of the agreed price on 400 USD, and I was dumped off at the border (the agreement was that they would take me all the way to Monrovia), so the trip became 100 USD more than agreed (500 USD in total). However, there are also daily larger buses (SDS) from Freetown to Monrovia for 30 USD per person, which the hotel should be aware of (however, you cannot find information about this on "Rome2Rio"). I could have saved over $400 if I had known about it in advance. The overpricing also applied to local taxis / tricycles provided by the hotel, where you ended up paying the "tourist price".

Positive: Good location, clean rooms, no mosquitos and friendly host who will gave you all infos about city. Breakfast was simple but nice and fresh and ginger guava fresh juice was amazing!
