Featuring 6 metre high ceilings, polished concrete floors and birch ply walls, along with extensive use of glass that adds a wonderful sense of space and warmth, allowing the light to stream in from sunrise to sunset. It offers the perfect getaway summer or winter - relax whilst soaking up the view with a chilled glass of wine in summer or cosy up next to the open fire in winter.
Located just 3 minutes drive from the Golf Course and 8 minutes drive from the picturesque township of Kangaroo Valley, it offers the perfect getaway anytime of year.

Offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full size bathrooms all with french doors and sweeping valley views; master queen suite has 6 metre long doors that open fully to a large terrace from which to relax with your coffee in the morning sun, freestanding tub, ensuite with large walk-in rain shower. Queen bedroom with sofa, and third bedroom with 2 single beds that can be configured into a double. Main bathroom and laundry with large walk-in rain shower.
Living Wing
This light flooded open plan area highlighted by end to end glass walls and french doors that open fully onto an extensive terrace which flows onto the North facing lawn, allowing for true indoor out living to relax and enjoy the magnificent views. The dining table comfortably seats 8 and is separated by a Cheminees Philipe double sided cast iron fireplace. The galley style kitchen features a 4 metre long stainless bench with Smeg appliances, so guests can enjoy cooking together with plenty of space. The well appointed kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and a coffee machine.
Heating
All rooms have underfloor heating and ceiling fans to stay warm and cosy in winter or cool in summer.

Summary: The Lair is a stunning, architecturally designed home that is perfect for the surrounding area and location. My fiancé and I plus a few friends thoroughly enjoyed our time and we made the most of the house and the views, which are just sensational. We do not have the range of adjectives to describe or give justice to this amazing house. 😀

Summary: Stunning location and home. Everything you need to unwind and relax. Easy drive to town for supplies, dinner at the pub or a gelato. Great walks and mountain biking options within 15-30 minutes drive which is appealing. We did one each day of our stay. Amazing sunrises, sunsets and loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit at dusk....

Summary: A beautiful, stylish and very comfortable house. Perfect for teens and for those who love to cook (the kitchen is great and very well equipped). Close enough to Kangaroo Valley to pick up supplies but far enough away for a peaceful break surrounded by bushland. Would definitely return.

Summary: The Lair in Kangaroo Valley is truly something special. My husband and I requested to book very last minute, Catherine was so lovely to deal with and so very accommodating. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. We enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the valley below and star gazing in the evenings when the night cleared. The local town is close by, as are some local bush walks and look outs. We were lucky enough to meet Winston the resident wombat too ! Thank you for a lovely stay Catherine, we will be back !

Summary: Tranquility defines the house at every level of detail. Set on a sympathetically cleared bit of hillside, the house overlooks a valley to one side and is made especially atmospheric by the rain and yet glows like a zen garden in the sunlight. It is secluded so provides the perfect place to unwind. Walking through the house is an airy experience of moving through nature, indoors. Light, space, forest, home garden, cicadas and ‘the’ wombat, they are all there within reach. Catherine, our host, has put a lot of thought into providing effortless comforts. From the superbly and generously equipped kitchen (which I used all the time like it was my own!), the softest linens, a good selection of books to the fabulous fire pit, everything was there and almost invariably in the right place. The air conditioning in the master bed room made a huge difference on the hot December day when we arrived (it was cool thereafter), so I’m guessing the house could get very warm in the high heat of the summer. It happened to be cool enough to light a fire for NYE which made the occasion very special. Kangaroo Valley village is immensely enjoyable. The stores, cafes, bookshop and antique shops are carefully curated and, the locals are truly the nicest people! Thank you Catherine for hosting us. We had a delightful stay ans hope to return again.
