The Last Resort Retreat, a secluded mountain valley hideaway. A custom, three-story Colorado dream home built on 14 lush pine- and aspen-covered acres. This hidden paradise is the perfect getaway to enjoy the serenity of the mountains. The house sits next to a mountain creek, at the bottom of a canyon, surrounded by towering rock formations. Wonderful views can be seen from all windows, especially from the oversized deck, with a welcoming hot tub just steps from the main-floor master suite. Two secondary bedrooms can be found on the second floor, with a full shared bath and family room. After coming down a rugged drive and past a hairpin curve, you will find your paradise at the end of the road.

Private road: The house is located at the very end of a private road, which is shared by only a few neighbors. It is a rough road on a slope, as shown on the photos. The experience may initially be scary to many people, but the views are amazing, particularly so on the way back up. Although not mandatory, we suggest an AWD or 4WD vehicle (or simply a powerful one), especially if you're not comfortable or used to driving in such conditions. For the winter months, it's essential that you have a 4WD vehicle because of all the snow that accumulates.
Air-conditioning: Because the weather is very amenable in the summer in Conifer, there's no central AC available in the house. There are ceiling fans available in all bedrooms and in the main living hall, though, and a heating/cooling electric fireplace in the master bedroom. The temperature drops rapidly when the sun goes down. If you leave the windows open, it will cool down the house pretty quickly. The thermostats in the house regulate the heating.

Hot tub: There's a hot tub located on the deck, right outside the master bathroom. It sits comfortably at least 4 adults. There's a great view from it and it's a perfect place to stargaze at night.
Outdoor cameras: There's a Ring doorbell camera and some Ring outdoor cameras in front of the house for the safety of guests and the security of the house.
