The Lazy Bear's Den is designed with relaxation in mind. Set up for 2 couples or a small family this spot is the perfect retreat. Come play in the snow, relax or if you have to work WIFI is provided. Spacious fenced yard is such a great place to play.
The location is wonderful: less than 4 miles to Heavenly Ski Resort, the village with shopping and dining, If Sierra At Tahoe is your skiing choice it is approximately 15 miles away. In the summer time the Lake is close, depending on which is your favorite beach.
As you enter the cabin you will immediately notice all the custom wood details, the living area with comfy leather couch and chairs is focused on the gas fireplace and flat screen TV. Adjacent to the living area is the dining room. The kitchen is set up for the family chef to prepare a feast, there are plenty of dishes, pots and pans, serving items. There is a slider to the spacious and fenced backyard-perfect for summer bbqs. There is an additional space off the living area with a couch and a TV-a great space for the kids to play. This room does have a futon if you need an extra spot to sleep.
There is a full bath (shower stall only) that is shared by both bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 1/2 bath attached. The master also has access to the backyard.
The backyard has a Gas BBq, picnic table and chairs.
Maximum Occupancy is 4, in beds the home sleeps 4, plus the futon. Children 5 and under are not counted. Occupancy Rules are in place at all times.

While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.
Parking is tight, 2 smaller vehicles will fit easily, if you are driving large trucks or SUVs they may not both fit. Street parking or dirt parking is not allowed.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads.
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

Fun bear decor and comfortable furnishings, including cozy throws, and easy to use TV. There was a separate TV for streaming, which is a good idea for guests. There are plenty of nice appliances and dishes to accommodate cooking a big meal. We may do so on a future stay. Only used the primary bedroom, which was very comfortable. Big back yard, and a fairly quiet neighborhood. We'd stay here again.

Summary: Big and comfortable cabin, it has everything we need it to make us feel like home. So many cookware options. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary stuff to cook. they have containers in different sizes. I traveled with 4 little girls, the place was perfect and spacious for the kids, they loved the family room because it has a TV. The backyard is huge. Only thing missing was coffee and sugar. But we got our own and it was fine. I really enjoyed it. Great place to stay, highly recommended.

We didn't find anything missing that we expected to have. There were nice plush towels and comfortable beds. There was a small assortment of kids games/toys and lawn darts/cornhole games outside. From what we could tell, the garage was not accessible to guests--not an issue in the summer but maybe with snow in winter. Everything is a drive from the house but there is a lot to explore within short driving distances. South Lake Tahoe is definitely more of a regular town feel as compared to the more touristy north side Kings Beach where we also stayed. Only additions we would recommend are more lighting around dining table and addition of umbrella and/or beach chairs for summer guest use. There were four nice beach towels provided.

Summary: Clean, tastefully appointed, well stocked with kitchen supplies. Management was extremely responsive and also provided a snow shovel and car brush in anticipation of an upcoming snow storm. Would absolutely stay here again!

Summary: Very nice 2BR. All was as described. Michelle was great, accommodating our requests for a slight schedule change and for an early check-in, promptly providing a hair dryer when informed there had been none (we left it in the master bath vanity), and generally being on top of everything and immediately responsive. Thank you again Michelle! Our only critique was that several of the lights flicker, perhaps due to bulbs or lighting fixtures being incompatible with dimmer switches. But otherwise all was terrific. In particular, the heated floor in the master bath is a very nice touch! Thanks again.
