Positive: On arrival I was greeted by ‘Jess’ - despite clearly being rushed off her feet, she was so warm & welcoming and couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. On learning that we would need to be leaving before breakfast would be served, Jess put together a picnic of fresh pain au chocolates,(probably the best I’ve ever tasted!) fruit and water to ensure we wouldn’t go without. Our room was lovely, the bed was super comfortable, and after a very busy day serving coffee at the Pearce Downhill Cycles event and the next day to be much busier, I knew I’d have the best sleep. And I did! Honestly cannot fault The Lion, lovely warm atmosphere with staff to match. Highly recommend this fabulous hotel, the manager should be proud of their staff and the hospitality they provide. Thank you x

Positive: The Lion is the perfect hotel, situated in a peaceful area by a stream. Food was excellent, beds were comfortable and rooms were spotless. Staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. I could not recommend enough!

Negative: Everything was perfect.

Summary: 10/10 across the board. Amazing food, comfy beds and spotless rooms.
