Summary: I thought this property was right on the water. Could be my mistake, but the listing was taken down so I can’t even go back and see if it was misleading or not. It’s almost 1/5 mile walk to the beach. Kayaks provided but good luck getting them there. I will say the actual lake & beach is amazing, although gets crowded at times with all the people from the campground. We really enjoyed the loons, blue heron and saw a bald eagle a few times! The cabin smells a little, probably from the wood stove I’m guessing. Would have been nice to get extra towels. The bathroom handsoap container was literally water- zero soap. I just thought that was weird. I had to make hand soap with water and dish soap. In the end, we got used to it but there is ZERO cellular service or even Wi-Fi. I feel like that should be advertised. We were here over July 4 and I have to say I loved that there were no fireworks, the dog, kids and I appreciated that greatly! Overall we ended up having a nice stay.

Summary: The Looney Inn is like staying at a friend's place -- clean, comfortable and perfect for a no-fuss, simple vacation on the lake. Very quiet area, and hardly saw any neighbors, even when out on the water. Cabin had everything we needed. Not only the amenities as listed (kayaks, firewood, AC), but little practical stuff that you don't think of -- extra umbrella, leads for your dog, candles, bait :). Enjoyed Josh's restaurant recommendations as well. Realized that we didn't have the door code, when we first got there, but Josh texted back immediately and then we were in in. Such an easy place to stay. We would recommend to anyone who wants some solitude and relief from city life.

Summary: Great location, great host. Cabin has everything you could need, just as the listing stated. We loved how secluded we were, surrounded by trees. Loved the wood burning stove. Kept us nice and warm and we love the smell of the wood burning outside. So nice and relaxing. Josh was great with communication and detailed directions. We’d definitely comes back again, maybe in the spring and stay for a full week.

Summary: We had a great stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved spending every night around the fire under the brightest stars. It was so peaceful and quiet it was easy to hear the calls of owl at night. We were even able to catch a glimpse of the local loon while fishing on the nearby lakes whose calls were amazing to hear up close. Josh was also so kind to leave a treat for us and even our dog to enjoy. Thanks for a great week!

Summary: Me and 5 friends were tired of sleeping on the ground camping every year and wanted to try something more comfortable without breaking the bank. This was perfect for us. The lakes are quiet and low key. We enjoyed the fire pit every night. Josh was very accomadating.
