Louis XIV was the most extravagant, sumptuous, and luxurious king in French history. He moved the court to Versailles, which is still today one of the grandest palaces in the world. Like Louis XIV himself, our “Louis XIV Suite” is also the most extravagant, sumptuous and luxurious suite in the Arc de Texas. The suite occupies the entire third floor of the Arc de Texas and has 4 bedrooms, 2 half baths with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, central air/heat and great fire pit to sit and enjoy the nighttime sky in the Hill Country. You can also use the elevator to go to the rooftop terrace to enjoy your cocktail while taking in the arresting 360 degree views. What is stunning about this suite is the views! There are no less than 18 large square windows encircling the entire suite. The suite has views in every direction. You only need to pack your overnight bag, we have thought of everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. The suite sleeps 12-14 people with the use of the leather sofas in the living room. One bedroom has a king bed, another has a king bed and the other two bedrooms have two queen beds (all linens provided).
The kitchen is furnished with coffeemaker (coffee, filters, creamer, sugar, Splenda), pots, pans, stove, refrigerator, microwave, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, serving bowls, cooking utensils, misc. spices, knife block, toaster, paper towels, napkins, basic condiments in the fridge, and spices in the cabinet for cooking, etc.
The living area has a leather embossed furnishings. You can put your feet up and read a good book, watch DirectTV with movie channels, or head into town and rent a DVD to watch on the television. There is no telephone but there is an internet connection in the house if you really must stay in touch with those everyday hassles!
There is a large fire pit with 'rocking' chairs that you can sit in and enjoy a great fire. There's plenty of wood on the ranch - burn all you want! There is six tables with chairs up on the rooftop terrace that you can use to have a meal outside. In addition, we also have a propane grill for outdoor cooking.
If you wish to bring your dog or your horse we have accommodations for them as well. The back deck is fenced and can be used to contain your dog. We ask that you keep them off the furniture and beds and you are required to bring a crate to house them in when you are away from the suite ($30 per night per pet stay fee - to be added to your quote after you book). For horses, we have a pipe fenced paddock directly behind the Red House with water & feed troughs as well as a run-in and tack area to keep your tack and feed dry (please note that you will need to rent the Red House as well to bring horses).
Lighthouse Hill Ranch is situated in the beautiful Texas Hill Country on 2,001 acres. With this much land it is your own private park to enjoy (see pictures for a map of the property). The ranch consists of rolling hills, incredible 50 mile views, and has one of the highest point in Blanco County. Enjoy the abundance of wildlife on the ranch from cattle, bird watching, deer, turkey, coyotes, armadillos, jackrabbits, doves and variety of other animals.
Rental of any of our houses or suites provides you access to the entire ranch (both tracts), which has numerous springs, over 4,000 feet of clear rock-bottom creek to swim and tube in (and including a unique creekside hot tub and waterfall grotto), 8 ponds to fish, a seasonal waterfall and miles of trails for riding your own ATV and bikes, hiking or riding your own horse.

Summary: Definitely a vacation to remember. We rented all four places in this amazing building and loved every second here. We grilled steaks Thursday night for dinner and enjoyed the hot tub. The roof top terrace was wonderful and when the rain and fog finally lifted, enjoyed that amazing fifty mile view. There were eleven of us. We shared the third floor with our four grandkids and our three kids and spouses each got a suite on the second floor. Our daughter found out they offered an atv tour and enjoyed that. Checked out the Christmas lights at night in Johnson City. Also had time to do LBJ Ranch and Pedernales Falls. Kathy answered all our questions and considering there are 2100 acres and ten places to rent on this beautiful ranch, you have lots of options. We would highly recommend staying.

Summary: Everything was fabulous. Kitchen was well stocked, even condiments in fridge. I highly recommend this place for a hill country getaway! It was worth every penny! Kathryn, was so helpful and accommodating. If I go again, I would love to take an ATV with me so we could explore the whole property.

Summary: We love staying in the Luis XIV Suite. We have a group normally of 5-7 adult men and everyone is comfortable and usually gets their own bed. It is our yearly small family reunion with my Dad, Uncles and cousins. The views are great! and has been such a quiet place for us to stay. We look forward to next year!

Summary: Our family has been coming to the Lighthouse Hill Ranch for years. It is such a special place for us. The views are spectacular from every direction. The walking trails are so relaxing and we even got to enjoy a nice campfire by the pool. Kathy is always such a wonderful host. We will definitely be back!!

Summary: This magnificent and grand property perched high a top a hill offers magnificent views of the surrounding ranch. Our stay was in the Louis XIV Suite which more than accommodated our family. The entire suite is spacious with beautiful views from every room. Would absolutely stay here again!
