Positive: Villa was right next to the beach with beautiful view of the islands. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Negative: There was a steep hill to climb to the restaurant and swimming pool although you could call reception for a buggy pick up.

Summary: The Mak Trat resort was a very peaceful and relaxing holiday with many options to walk around the island or rent a motor

Positive: Great staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. Really wonderful rooms/houses with fabulous sea view. Good breakfast buffet and restaurant. Solid wifi connection. Easy to rent scooters onsite to drive around the island. We had all dinners at the restaurant in the resort next door (Little Moon Dine and Café) - highly recommendable and really good food! Both Thai and pastas. Great coffee too.

Negative: The location is the only downside of The Mak Trat. It’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and the beach is not worth hanging out at.

Positive: Great view, Lunch and Dinner was always perfect. great food. Breakfast a little light on and simple. Bay Not for swimming, very shallow water and need to work a long way to swim. Great view of the bay

Negative: Breakfast could be better, late to pick us up at the boat on arrival

Positive: The infraestructure is simply amazing but the costume care doesn’t correspond. It could easily be a 5 starts hotel if there was a proper reception and attention to client.

Negative: Attention to client: they don’t show around the area when you check in, don’t explain the spaces, rules, schedules…they just give you a whatsapp in which you can send all questions. In the end you spend the hole time on whatsapp to get info that could easily be told at check in.
