The Moonraker is a 3-star Grade II listed Hotel located on the outskirts of Trowbridge and 5 minutes from Bradford on Avon Originally a farm (over 200 years ago) it has been upgraded over the years into a 23-bedroom hotel The farm style continues with outbuildings that have been converted into bedrooms and The Milking Parlor Restaurant which has a rustic farmhouse atmosphere Food is a central part of The Moonraker with Head Chef Xavier and his team cooking local seasonal dishes and also making use of the hotel’s kitchen garden. You will also find classics on the menu like Fish and Chips and our Moonraker Burger and Fries. The Restaurant is relaxed, unfussy and there is definably no dress code. We also have a lovely outside space with tables and chairs when the weather is nice. We look after both business and leisure guests and have super-fast broadband, rooms with works desks and complimentary meeting rooms for you to use when you are a guest of ours. In the evening why not take a stroll around our paddock and meet our free-range chickens or take a peek into chefs kitchen garden. Our location is perfect if you need to be near to Trowbridge or Bradford on Avon. We are also a great stop off for guest traveling down to Devon and Cornwall. Gong to Bath for the day? Leave you car in our free parking and jump on the train at Trowbridge and in 20 minutes you are in central Bath!

Negative: We had high expectation on the breakfast but it had a little variation. Only some toasts and no bread, no eggs or any sausages. Some fruit and yoghurt. Very disappointed.

Positive: Cosy little room in a beautiful building. The staff were lovely.

Negative: The curtains didn’t cover the windows properly, the shower wasn’t that hot and the shower head was tiny. The tv wasn’t great either. The breakfast was ok, but there could have been some added extras such as an artisan coffees and eggs etc for an additional cost if customers require it. Next time we will skip breakfast and eat in Bradford on Avon.

Positive: The superior room is quite specious with a big bed. It was warm in the room. Good lightning. The staff at the reception and at the dinner was lovely. Pizza and wine were very good.

Negative: It was the worst coffee I have ever had at the breakfast which itself was a huge disappointment. Bread, ham and cheese. That was it. Not even a tomato or cucumber or any ketchup or mayonnaise to make a proper sandwich. There were also some options for sweet breakfast with milk and corn flakes. Fruit salad was a good touch. The mattress needs replacing.

Positive: This was our second stay at Moonraker hotel. It is a great location with a traditional country house feel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was warm and spacious with a great bathroom, a small lounge area to relax and views over farmland. This is a great place for a quiet and relaxing stay. It was also very good value. We have local family and will be back again
