Summary: John and his team are great. I was stuck working in Denver for 3 months and probably would’ve gone absolutely crazy if I didn’t have the respite this location provides.

Summary: Well-equipped cabin in the mountains. Close enough to town to easily take care of day-to-day necessities with a feeling of being very far away. Host was very accommodating with regards to snow removal immediately following a snow fall, so getting in and out was no problem in deep winter.

Summary: The cabin is rustic but very comfortable. I was pleased to see everything we needed was on hand. We had all the conveniences of home and more with the spa tub in the backyard. Where the herd of elk comes through. We enjoyed our coffee and tea on the deck while watching the hummingbirds and deer and turkeys. The location is perfect with FABULOUS things to see and do in all directions. My wife and I had the most enjoyable and wonderful relaxing time ever. We Highly recommend the. Bootleggers Cabin.

Summary: Wonderful location. Great property owner. All you need is more time to enjoy the easy access to the city or the high country or just relax in the hot tub and consider doing it again next year. Summary: We took this trip to let our 2 kids (11 and 7) see and play in snow for the first time! This was the PERFECT place for that! The cabin was cozy and comfortable and allowed us to play in the snow out back ALL day! Sledding down the hills and having snowball fights was the highlight of our trip! We would eat, play, rest and repeat! We even got to see a pack of reindeer stroll through the front yard! We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back!! Thank you for opening your home to us!!!

Summary: We absolutely loved staying at this cabin. My boyfriend and I spent a few days here just the two of us and then we’re joined by two friends. We enjoyed our coffee on the back deck every morning where we saw many different kinds of wildlife. The house is convenient to the highway, but far enough to feel secluded and private. Everything we needed (detergent, shampoo, etc) was already at the house, which was great. The home was clean, cozy, and overall just a great spot for our little vacation.

Summary: Had a very great vacation. Beautiful cabin sitting on Lookout Mountain. Wild Bill Cody graveside and Museum just down the road. Close enough to find plenty of things to do with that cozy feel of being in the middle of nowhere. Minor issues were handled promptly and John and his crew were always just a phone call away. We had a very pleasurable stay and highly recommend this cabin. We were sitting on the back patio and blessed with visitors of wildlife. Had a 10 point Buck and a Doe as well as a Red Fox chasing a rabbit. Looked across the way and was blessed with the site of a Mule Deer being from South Texas couldn't believe the beauty of Colorado and the size of the Deer. Was very blessed to see such a beautiful sight only one word to describe our visit to Colorado and it would have to be MAJESTIC. When we return we will definently be returning to this cabin as the hospitality of John and Tom were AMAZING.

Summary: With plans to go to multiple areas just east of the Rockies (Denver, Boulder, Colorado’s Springs, etc.), this was a perfect spot. Had all the amenities we needed for a family of five, and a quiet place of rest after long day trips.
