The location of The Moorings is the best of many worlds, with the beaches of Anna Maria Island only 11 miles away by car, St. Pete and Tampa 25 miles, and Sarasota, host of the 2017 World Rowing Championship, only 18 miles away.
The Moorings offers everything a waterfront home should with over 219 feet of water frontage with a dock that allows for a boat up to 40 feet. The intercostal waterways are just around the corner and the Gulf of Mexico not much further. No boat, no problem! Bring your fishing pole and drop a line from the private dock. Bask in the breeze off the Bayou and take in the Old Florida feel as the fishing is plentiful in the Manatee River, home to snook, redfish, and trout.
Enjoy a peaceful float in your private pool, or take an afternoon snooze as you occasionally listen to the sounds of the swaying palms and gently breaking waves lap against the seawall. The evening isn’t complete without a cold beverage, grilling your catch of the day, and watching the game on the outdoor TV.
Natural light fills the home and the kitchen with sliders that open up to the second story lanai, which overlooks the entire canal and bayou. Summary: This home is very beautiful inside and outside. It had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and pots and pans. The pool and backyard were wonderful. Communication with the property manager was very well done. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Summary: This was the prettiest backyard of any VRBO I’ve ever stayed at! And it had everything we needed to feel at home, including beach chairs, a cooler, and fishing gear! My kids caught a sting ray and tons of other fish. The heated pool was wonderful and Palmetto is conveniently located to access so many places!

Summary: Don't miss the opportunity to stay at the Moorings! What a great time. Beautiful home with all the bells and whistles! Kudos to the owners for doing such a great job! We very much appreciated our home away from home and would love to come back! My son and I were on an extended vacation when we found the Moorings. Wonderful pool, and the entire patio area. We had a few friends over to spend the afternoon with us. Excellent home to just chill, or entertain in! Thank you again, we look forward to staying with you again! Summary: Property is in a nice neighborhood in Palmetto. House layout was nice and furnished well. No red.tide at this location. Enjoyed the outside jacuzzi, pool, & dock. Unable to use the Jacuzzi tub in the master bath for the week. Some of the kitchen cabinets were musty. Bring shampoo, soap, etc. Will definitely consider renting this property again.

Summary: This property is one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever been in! And the decor is beautiful! It’s great that there are two master bedrooms. They also have a bathroom right by the pool which is very convenient. We saw several dolphins right by the boat dock. Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: The place was great. As nice as advertised on quiet street. It was a nice place to relax after a long day on the beach. We did some fishing on the dock. If i had to pick something to complain about, it would be the downstairs bedroom mattress. It was VERY firm. Upstairs matress was quite comfortable. Also be prepared for mosquitos. It wasnt a big problem for us, however. Citronella candle and spray outside and wasn't too bad.

Summary: We loved the outdoor area with the pool so much! Need to treat for mosquitoes so people can enjoy it at night too. We got so many bug bites:( The beds were also very hard. Other than that the beach gear was amazing to have on site, great stocked kitchen for cooking. Grocery store and a cute little coffee shop right down the road. Very convenient location if staying in the area.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at the house. The kids stayed busy with the pool and fishing from the dock. There was a nice patio area next to the pool so we found ourselves outside most of the time. We even saw some dolphins and manatees swim by the dock!

Summary: The house is absolutely beautiful and the back yard oasis balances both views and privacy. Don’t let the lovely foliage fool you, there is plenty of sun out there. The location was a great starting point for places we were going which was everywhere and every direction. If there are any visitors that have difficulty getting around, please know this is a split floor plan with stairs to get in the front door as well. It did not affect our group at all but worth mentioning. Some days when traffic was a struggle getting over the bridge to Bradenton etc, and we did not want to head to Anna Maria Island, we stayed in the back yard oasis and felt just as relaxed. Short drive to park and walk the bridge and boardwalk. One of our neighbors even had a boat docked that is from where we are from. What a small world! I would absolutely book this place again.
