If you're looking for something unique, you've found it. Where else can you find a home with a palace room, a jail, a mummy secret room, a 175 year old Chinese bed, A psychedelic black-light "mush room", thrones, African cave paintings and giant Moai statues with a tropical pool?
This house has it all. Used in countless music videos in former times, the home has been lovingly transformed by it's international travel blogger owner into beautiful themed rooms unlike anything else on the planet.
The outdoor pool has a 20 foot cabana with lighting, waterfall, grotto, hot tub and river feature. 2 life-sized Moai statues set the tone for this tropical bar.
The common area of the house is a high ceilinged tribute to Italy with each wall making up a separate building of Verona. Murals, life-sized statues, an Amalfi coast themed lemon kitchen, and a throned palace room grab your attention the moment you walk into the house.
The primary bedroom is hidden behind a faux wine cellar, there's 5 life-sized mummies upstairs guarded by a 6 ft. Anubis....did I mention the cow in the backyard?

Summary: The Most Interesting House in Texas was truly a sight to behold. The pictures are very accurate! Each room has an international theme and it was fun to just go into the rooms to look around. The outdoor area was beautiful, but due to the time of year, we didn't use the pool or hot tub. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery a lot though. The rooms were comfortable. There is a HUGE primary suite on the lower level. This was helpful since one person in our group has mobility issues. The one snafu was that the " Alexa" app was not working properly and the huge chandelier would not turn off. The owner (despite the fact that he was across the other side of the world), responded quickly and after several different attempts, we were finally able to turn the light off. A few more towels may have been nice. Just like in Europe, there were no washcloths, so if that's what you like, bring your own. The jail room is also on the main floor, there is no full bath nearby, but there is a half bath across the kitchen from it. None of us stayed there. The other 3 bedrooms are on the upper level. One of them has its own ensuite. The other 2 bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom but has their own private sinks in their room. There isn't any place to hang up wet towels. A few strategically placed hooks would be helpful. The location was PERFECT for us. The neighborhood is a quiet family friendly area that we felt comfortable taking walks in.

Summary: The house is the most interesting house I have ever been in. There are surprises at every turn. There were some issues, but the host was quick to answer any questions or concerns. The overall experience of exploring the home, and enjoying the backyard made for a very enjoyable stay.

Summary: Amazing! We loved our stay. The house needs several things repaired including lights, clogged drains, dirty carpet and rugs, tiki bar and furniture replaced. Definitely the most interesting house in Texas. Will recommend.
