Friday night music under the bridge in the summer, Coffee Mill Ski Resort, Wabasha County Fairgrounds, in between the upper and lower marinas, a bowling alley in town, close to several area wineries. Summary: The owner did a great job updating this home and was extremely thoughtful about everything a renter would need for their stay. We appreciated the comfortable beds, the nice updates, and the deck with a river view. One added bonus was the air hockey and foosball table in the extremely clean garage. Yes, the queen in the living room was a blow up mattress, but we didn't need to use it. This is a great spot for a few families, girls weekend, or couples weekend. We didn't have any wiring or electrical issues that were mentioned in the previous review. Overall, excellent stay!! 😁

Summary: The good: Location is beautiful Lovely river views Close to downtown Clean house Lots of nice touches like board games, lots of clean towels, AC in every room, well decorated The bad: The wiring in one of the rooms causes the breaker to the entire floor to trip, then you have to go down to the creepy smelly basement to try to get it back on. This happened to us multiple times and it was actually kind of hilarious by the end. The entire family was invested in the process The "queen bed" on the main floor is actually a blow up mattress The twin sized bed/futons are actually chairs that are pretty short to try to sleep on (especially for an adult) No central air (maybe that's in the listing though, I don't recall) The shower curtain holders kept falling down while you're showering Overall though, the host is gracious, the house is lovely and historic and we'd stay there again.

Summary: We booked "The Nest" for a weekend golf trip. Wabasha was central to the courses we were playing so we took a chance on this new listing. We were so happy we did! The house itself is sparkling clean, roomy, and comfortable. The location, just a block off the river in downtown is fantastic! We were able to walk to restaurants and the other activities going on in the downtown area. Bridget, the host, was phenomenal! Great communication before and during the trip, and she provided great recommendations of places to eat and things to do in the area.
