Positive: Location and breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful, which was a shock to the system as late teens and early twenties from west London where I come from are normally very rude

Positive: Excellent find in the Cotswolds. Beautiful pub with rooms at a good price. Newly decorated rooms that are gorgeous. The pub itself is beyond picturesque, great menus and drinks. The bath in room 1 was the stuff of dreams. Highly recommend!
Negative: We didn’t mind this at all, but we stayed for 3 nights and there wasn’t any additional in-room service during our stay such as cleaning, making the beds etc. It’s a pub with rooms so we didn’t necessarily expect this, just good to know!
Summary: Beautiful stay in the Cotswolds

Positive: The location was perfect, the king room was large and spacious with a beautiful bath and walk in shower. Staff were lovely and we had food in the restaurant which was faultless. The cookie in the room was a lovely touch - thank you. Bed was very comfortable.
Negative: There was lovely ground coffee but no milk provided in the room which I saw on another review too. Just a few milk sachets would be appreciated as the coffee went to waste as I was fresh out the shower and didn’t want to go to the pub to ask/no phone in room. It is very misleading when booking on booking.com as it says breakfast included which it isn’t. We were charged as we checked out and were told “it was an issue with booking.com they had reported”. This needed to be flagged up as we wouldn’t have spent an extra £35 on breakfast after a £245 per night room. We are seeking this back from booking.com as it still advertises breakfast included and needs sorting by the hotel. The room could really do with a mirror in the main room as the only mirror was in the bathroom and there was no where to stand to try your hair and do make up near the plug sockets. The coffee tray could do with a little tablet too as it nearly fell off the windowsill when the wind blew the blind. Those few additions would make the room perfect for travellers
Summary: Lovely stay but an issue with breakfast

Positive: Lovely location in a quiet village and exceptional food served in the main pub. It was also nice to stay in the new huts outside which were furnished to a high standard and really clean.
Negative: A couple of key things were missing from the room, these included a hair dryer and any tea or coffee. It didn’t drastically impact the stay but were expected when booking the room.
Summary: Lovely countryside cabin
