Positive: Ideal location for the area, we were visiting Stamford and Rutland Water. The pub was extremely comfortable. The staff very friendly and maintained excellent communication when there was a delay with our evening meal being served, which when it arrived was very enjoyable and good value. Breakfast was including in the cost of the room and was also good value and again the staff were extremely efficient and paid attention to small details. I would happily stay there again and recommend.

Positive: We received a very warm and friendly welcome when arriving from Bernard, our double room 3 was lovely and clean, nice and warm too on a cold and wet day. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant in the evening, staff were very attentive and welcoming, food was lovely and best ever crème brûlée I’ve tasted! Breakfast was plentiful and nice choices

Negative: Maybe a little later check out as it was 10am and breakfast was 8-10am, also quite a late check in at 4pm

Positive: Stayed just one night for a mini break in this part of Rutland. My friend and I were very impressed with this accommodation and at a very good price. Had 2 double rooms which were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the continental breakfast had a good selection of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, cheese, toast and pastries with juices and tea/coffee etc. Quiet and plenty of parking, had a lovely meal in the restaurant the evening we were there.

Negative: Nothing - was all good.

Summary: Comfortable, well-equipped and good location.
