Positive: This is a fantastic jewel of a property. We arrived a bit late, and our wonderful host Harold immediately got us into our room and called ahead to the pub (just a short walk down the road) to let them know we were on our way so they wouldn't close the kitchen, which was so nice as we were famished. The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. We enjoyed our breakfast, which we ordered the night before and it came with fresh strawberries from the garden. The whole property is just stunning and there was a tennis court and all sorts of other things going on which we didn't explore. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some beauty and quiet.
Negative: Nothing! It was baking hot the weekend we were there and maybe a fan in the room would have helped-to be fair I didn't ask and no doubt Harold would have sorted it. But really, there is zero to criticise in this property!
Summary: Fantastic jewel of a place- do yourself a favour and stay!

Positive: What a stunning house in a lovely little quaint area close to lots of little towns and villages which were so nice to go and visit. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our nights stay for our 25th anniversary. Positive: Breakfast was good, and the room was really lovely.
Negative: Unfortunately the hotel's owners' dog was seemingly left unattended over night, and barked incessantly for 30 minutes at 7am on a Sunday morning, which woke us, and other guests, up. The dog was clearly distressed, and I ended up opening the door to pacify the (very friendly) dog. We were only staying for one night, and otherwise had had a lovely time, so we were very disappointed that this put a real downer on things, and prevented us from having a relaxing Sunday morning.
