Summary: Steps away from the village common, a covered bridge, and a beautiful stream, this property is everyone's dream of a New England historic house. The house is spacious, beautifully finished and well appointed. The owner is accessible and helpful at all times. The location is perfect for exploring northern Vermont and southern Quebec. Members of my family gathered here for a celebration and spent a week discovering all the region has to offer -- hiking and biking trails, swimming holes, villages of Quebec, Smuggler's Notch, Jay Peak, restaurants and more. Downtime at the house was spent relaxing on the front porch, exploring the the large property, playing games in the beautiful yard, and grilling dinner. Summary: House is very spacious and was handsomely renovated. Tons of room for a large family or multi families. Convenient to Jay Peak resort where we skied. James was very communicative and responsive.

Summary: In town for a family wedding at Crofters Green this was a perfect location. We were able to host brunch the morning after the wedding which included some of the fresh veggies from the garden! We also enjoyed. the local farmers market. James was a wonderful host – which included being very responsive to my messages. We would love to come back!

Summary: My daughter, Son, granddaughters, family friends & GREAT Grandson stayed a week at this wonderful home. Everyone was so comfortable. The front porch is amazing ! Most of our time was spent there. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. The cool evenings and chilly mornings were a welcome relief to all my guests from Maryland. Thanks you so much.

Summary: We rented as a holiday getaway and weren’t disappointed we had a perfect week in this beautiful house. Close to Jay peak for skiing and lots of space to relax at home with family. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and everything we could need or have forgotten was provided. Thank you for sharing your special home.

Summary: This home was amazing! We loved it! Everyone was comfortable and had plenty of space. The kitchen was perfect and was fully stocked. There was a huge dinning table that alllowed all 11 of us to eat together. This home will not disappoint and is perfect with larger groups. Will I go back again? Absolutely!!!!!

Summary: Our family of six recently spent a long weekend at this house while skiing at nearby Jay Peak. The house was super clean, warm and comfortable - it was a pleasure returning to relax here after a long, cold day. We cooked one night and had every dish and pan available to make it easy. Our kids loved the spiral staircase up to the third floor and had plenty of space to roam around and play. It snowed 2 feet during our stay and the driveway was promptly plowed. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back to visit again. Definitely recommended!

Summary: The entire family, spanning 3 generations, really enjoyed our stay here! The veranda porch offered a great space to socialize in. The kids enjoyed running around the enormous yard. And we all enjoyed the lovely garden we were invited to pick veggies from. The rooms were large and comfortable. Incredible bathroom! The owners were very attentive and helpful. We were able to lodge additional friends at the Black Lantern Inn across the street - making an ideal location for a large group! If you've never been here, Montgomery offers plenty of swimming holes, beautiful drives through the backroads, a bike shop, some fun little eateries and a coffee shop. We'll be back!

Summary: We had a fantastic weekend at this house, which was well-prepared and spacious. It has some odd layout features, but tons of space, an incredible kitchen and, most important, a woodstove. The hosts were very helpful and responsive with a small issue we had with the Wifi, and of course the skiing was great. Five stars, would absolutely come back.
