Positive: Lovely amenities a little too far from activities (for an extra $100/pop bring the activities to you!) the hotel should have one or more slips available for day activity pickups!
Negative: Kids. There was a family with 5+ kids whose parents left them in the hotel to knock on random doors at midnight. Staff refused to speak to kids or parents. Several guests on the 1st and 2nd floors that I know of got to “experience” the unattended kids, and having the pool shut down because of them was an added bonus. Get a policy. Empower your staff.
Summary: Fun times but a little TOO family-friendly.

Positive: With the exception of the front desk staff, the other staff members were very organized and effective The front desk staff were not concerned about the guest experience. They were unable/unwilling/untrained to provide any assistance with the shuttle service the Perry claims to provide to old town Key West. I made multiple calls to the hotel and had to navigate the call system to get a live staff member on the phone. The call quality of service was poor. The desk staff were NOT ABLE to answer my question about the missing 1/2 past the the hour pickup shuttle and they could NOT confirm that an on the hour shuttle had actually been sent. The staff had no interest/experience with simply sending a car to pickup their guests. 2 calls later and they still didn’t have any interest in providing a solution. I paid for the Uber service to bring us back to the hotel. I spoke to Mercedes at the desk. She did not remember checking me in and was oblivious to the missed pickup situation Mercedes incorrectly described the situation as “missed the shuttle”. She did not comprehend that a shuttle that does NOT arrive at the pickup location is NOT MISSED. I asked her to escalate the situation to the management team for them to review the recorded calls the desk staff. I assume that she never did as I never received a management response nor apology. What a lost training opportunity. I tried to send a message to the desk later that evening but it seems the internet was down. I was able to send the message the following day but the message was not read/understood as it was a chapter and verse “hourly drop off 1/2 hourly pickup” statement. I specifically requested that the message be forwarded to the management team. NEVER HAPPENED or just ignored. Similarly after getting a total amount invoice,I requested an itemized bill and never received one… Ultimately I can NOT recommend Perry Hotel and Marina

Positive: The location was wonderful! The facilities were great, along with the staff! The shuttle drivers to town were awesome people! Especially the woman - I don't remember her name, but she was so personable and VERY welcoming!
Negative: Only negative thing I can say - is the 20% charge AUTOMATICALLY added to drinks and food. I bartend part time and feel tipping is up to the individual.
Summary: Would Definitely Go Back to the Perry Motel and Marina - What a Beautiful Spot
