We welcome you to our Pinewood Guesthouse which is a 700 square foot country cottage located on our home property. (We don't disturb our guests)
Located 400 feet from the road in a very safe area.
Open Queen Suite and Extra Queen Bedroom.
Big bathroom with JACUZZI Tub, 48in stall shower (with seat in corner)

Full Kitchen
Hulu on both TVs
Dimmable recessed lighting throughout cottage for a romantic feel.

Private Gas Fire Pit for roasting marshmallows on lazy evenings! (Burns clean with no smoke and no sparks) Located in trees
Gas Grill with private picnic table area.
Outside water spigot with fish cleaning station.
Plenty of parking for cars or a boat.
Come relax and enjoy our quiet country cottage!
Put your boat overboard at the boat ramp half a mile down the road from our location which is the Perquimans River.
Visit the Nicholson House Restaurant (0.5 miles) for some laid back country cooking. They have a nice gift shop too! (Closed Sunday and Monday)
Also check out Layden's Country Store near the restaurant for a back in time shopping experience! Hoop Cheese and Fresh cut meat! People come from miles around to shop there!
Quaint little town of Hertford is 12 minutes away.
Historic Edenton is only 25 minutes drive.
Elizabeth City is 25 minutes away where you will find Wal-Mart, Chain Restaurants, Privately Owned Restaurants, Chain Stores, Albemarle Museum, movie theaters and more.
After a long day sight seeing, you will love getting away from it all in your own little cottage in the trees!

Summary: We stayed here 4 years ago when I was working nearby. We loved it so much we wanted to come back and do it for fun. The property and owners did not disappoint. A great place to stay for a quiet weekend. Parking is great, wifi is great, property was beyond clean when we arrived. It will probably be another 4 years but I would definitely stay here again and again.

Summary: A beautiful well kept cottage in NC. Everything was very clean and beautiful. The host Allison was very communicative and reachable every step of the process. She even went above and beyond and had something very special and detailed when we arrived since it was my fiancé’s bday. I would highly recommend this cottage. We were pleasantly surprised that it was exactly how the listing showed. Allison thank you so much.

Summary: The Pinewood was the perfect stay for us!! The cleanliness and comfort made it the most stress free environment to relax and recharge from life and today’s chaos. The owners were both courteous and kind. Communication was spot on and we had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be staying again when we visit relatives in the future.

Summary: Pinewoods cottage was cozy, well-appointed, and sparkling clean. It's across a parking area from the hosts' house, but we didn't ever meet them and felt quite private. We cooked our dinners and found all the pans, utensils etc. that we needed. A bonus for us older folks was the textured shower floor, a great safety feature. hostess Allison gave us several good tips about local places to visit in response to our questions. All in all, a happy experience.

Summary: Quiet country setting with every amenity you will need for a weekend or, as in my case, a month-long stay. Ali and Boots are very nice people that are attentive to questions or requests but otherwise leave you alone. Comfy beds and furniture, fully stocked kitchen, new washer and dryer are standout amenities, but nothing about this property is 2nd rate. Lighted seating area behind the cottage was enjoyed on a daily basis. If you need a wonderful place to stay in this area, stay here. And it's cheaper than the Hampton Inn in Edenton with so much more to offer. Can't say enough good things about this property or the Owners!
