Summary: Enjoyed the 1920s flapper styling of this hotel down to the soundtrack in the lobby and old style billiards room behind the bar. It was very peaceful and the staff were great!

Summary: No words can truly capture the beauty and rich history of this place. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional...valet and door greeter were polite, warm, and welcoming. The decor throughout the hotel was stunning, filled with charm and character. Vintage and in pristine condition. The cleanliness of every inch of the building is something to admire! The highlight of our stay was the tour of Room 311 with Mr. Kirby with the Derby experience. Mr. Kirby is an absolute gem..kind, funny, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He has a natural presence that belongs on a stage, captivating guests of all ages. His storytelling brought the history of the hotel to life in a way we'll never forget. If you're visiting, make sure not to miss the tour. Mr. Kirby alone is worth the trip! •only complaint is that air was a little messed up and it never got cool enough

Summary: We came to Chattanooga as first timers and heard great things about the hotel. It was a beautiful stay with a wonderful dinner at Bridgeman's. The only compaint that I had was the shower in the premier suite. The pressure was terrible and the nozzle was not adjustable. As someone who has very thick hair, there was no way I was able to wash it with such poor water pressure.

Summary: The Read House is a fantastic, historical property with “Gilded Age” decor and feel. The staff was fantastic in assisting me with a booking issue, and even went out of their way to give me a room that was a nice upgrade from the one I had reserved. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quaint, historical “vibe”, and centrally located in downtown.

Summary: It was a very pleasant stay. The common areas are modern and updated. The bathtub in our room more represented the age of this historic hotel but it worked and was clean. The gardens outside our window were stunning and the location was perfect for us to walk to our restaurant and around the area. Check in was smooth and the valet and doormen were very friendly and welcoming.
