We first encountered it when we heard from a friend, it was going up for sale.
It was a sad, neglected little house with so much potential, we knew immediately what it was destined to become.
We bought it and stripped it back to brick. Many original features have been uncovered and lovingly restored and/or retained.
Several months of hard work have revealed a beautiful and peaceful retreat.
We love it, we hope you do too.

Summary: What a fantastic cottage, just right for the two of us (and our two dogs). Plenty of good communication from Jo before and during our stay and it was lovely to be warm and cozy given the sub-zero temperatures outside. Looking forward to coming back at a better time of year to really enjoy the garden, etc. Only real negative is the parking outside the property is first come, first served so we had to park on the main road the first night (though it was so close as to not be a problem). Within a very short walk are a Chinese takeaway (which we thought was good), butchers (also good and opens very early), Costcutter (which had just about everything you'd need during a short break) and pub (which we didn't get to try this time). There were plenty of nice touches in the cottage itself, including toiletries, etc. in the bathroom, basics in the kitchen (bread, butter, coffee capsules, milk ,oil for cooking, biscuits, etc.) and even some dog treats :-) WiFi was good enough for a little bit of Netflix and browsing the web and as well as watching some live TV we could watch DVDs by connecting our laptop to the TV (I took my own HDMI lead). In better weather we'd not have been worried, so hopefully our next trip will see outside or having more evenings out. Thanks for a great time, we were really impressed.

Summary: OVERALL: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (5 Stars) DAYS: 33 PROS: Great Location with easy access to Derbyshire and Nottingham sites. Nice, safe neighborhood, close to butcher, grocery, pubs and convenience stores. Very Comfortable, quiet home with nice bed, newly remodeled, excellent heat/air, nicely furnished. Great Amenities with excellent Wi-Fi, new kitchen and bath, plenty of lighting, tastefully decorated. Lovely back garden with deck, Coi pond and fruit trees. Super Host with all the details! CONS: limited parking on small street, low ceiling beams for folks over 6 feet tall.
