Summary: This motel is not for older people. We are in our late 70’s and besides not receiving an email to let us know what room or code, there were other issues for us. Luckily there was a young man around on the property to help us out and get us our room # and code. The walkways are not suitable for older people, especially if you have a bit of a balance issue. They were small slabs of cement in between about 6 inches of stone. Stepping up to the porch, the step is a little higher than the average. The room we had was very tiny. Very clean and nicely decorated. 2 bar stools up against a narrow table built into the wall. Not suitable for older folks. The kitchenette had. All the things needed for preparing a simple meal. There was no suitcase stand, so either on the floor or bed to open. I don’t like those options. The queen bed was in a tight area with not much room on either side, and worst of all the very nice size TV was mounted on the wall next to the bed. It was adjustable and it was able to get pulled out and turned slightly to see from the bar stools or lay in bed and get s stiff neck. The bathroom is tiny, no shelf or cabinet to put things on except back of toilet or small space on the back of the sink. A few hooks on the door as well as the room had 6 wooden pegs for hanging stuff. The bathroom floor was not level, and shower floor was very slippery. The air worked well, the bed was very comfortable and bathroom floor was heated.

Summary: A little slice of heaven, next door to the Promised Land. We were in the area to visit Pa. State Parks and stayed here two nights. My wife found Rex Hotel online and she really relies on the reviews of past guests. With this receiving so many positive ratings we went for it. The no contact check-in and out was new for us, but no issues arose at all. In fact, everything went so smoothly it would be nice if others used this method. As far as Rex calling this a hotel, it is more of a motel, but on a luxury scale. I felt like we were staying in an upscale country resort. Our room was #5 and upon arrival, everything was very clean. Even though we never met the owners or anyone for that matter on site, we never felt isolated. We would receive text messages occasionally reminding us it was time to start a fire in our very own outdoor fire ring, using the free fire wood, matches and starter. I have stayed in some pretty fancy hotels all over the country, but the temperature control in this room is the best. We were able to keep the room at the perfect temperature without having to constantly change it. I don't know if I'll get back to this part of Pa. again, but if I do we will be staying here at The Rex Hotel.

Summary: Perfect for what we needed. All the amenities and nature all in one. We enjoyed the sauna, the outdoor games, walking around outside and just relaxing by the outdoor fire pits (even when not having a fire). Relaxing and beautiful. What a blessing. Thanks!

Summary: Enjoyed Rex very much. Comfortable, stylish, well located. Rooms small, but lay out incorporated everything we needed. It rained so didn't use the fire pits in the back yard
