Positive: Huge room with separate kitchenette. Fresh linen daily. Aged art deco features which we absolutely loved. Staff super friendly and helpful. 3 minutes from Metro, but we walked pretty much everywhere except Arlington and The Pentagon. If you are after a stereotypical, modern box room this isn’t for you, but if you are up for something a little different then stay a the River Inn

Positive: Location was fantastic. The room was cozy and perfect for my needs. I felt safe. The restaurant was convenient.
Negative: The shower was VERY irregular with the temperature taking very long to get hot water and then very long to cool down from scalding. There was also what sounded like a singer on my floor practicing VERY LOUDLY and at one point screaming in some kind of rage. The customer service was spotty at the front desk. Kind of scripted without much warmth from some folks.
Summary: Very good for my needs. Expensive.

Positive: The neighborhood is historic, safe and charming. The property is specious, comfortably laid out (love the dressing area ), providing everything we need. The front desk staff Ashley is warm and informative. We feel our 5-night stay homey and relaxed.
Negative: This is a 68-y-o historic hotel, the draining system didn’t work well is understandable. It was immediately taken care of after we noticed the reception.

Negative: The mosquitoes and river rats running outside and in the bushes but they WERNT in the property just surprisingly that they were in that area!
