Positive: I was familiar with the neighborhood and the history of the hotel having lived in StL decades ago. While the area isn't as lively as it was in the 1980s, it was still a good location with a few good restaurants and cafes.
Negative: Had a few issues with our key cards and had to replace them two or three times to use at the room and the garage. Also found a couple of the towels left in the room had stains on them. Since we were able to get enough clean towels, it was disappointing but not a big deal.
Summary: Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend the hotel to others.

Positive: It was a very nice atmosphere from the moment you walked in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful building inside and out. The suite was comfortable, a little warm as we were sleeping but a nice large room. I liked that they even supplied a robe in the room.
Negative: How it got warm in the middle of the night. I wish we were able to eat at the Tenderloin Room, it was already booked for the night when we called to make reservations, but we will definitely try again next time.

Positive: This property is beautiful. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The options for dining and beverages fantastic. The food, drinks and atmosphere are top notch. The theater in the hotel is such a pleasant surprise. You don’t even have to leave the hotel to really enjoy your stay in STL.
Negative: The waiter at breakfast (an older gentleman) was extremely inattentive and hard to understand because of his accent and the fact that he spoke very quietly. The waiter we had for dinner the night before was sweating profusely which was unappetizing especially in a fine dining environment. The vanity in the bathroom was inadequately sized. There was an empty cubby right across from it behind the bathroom door that would be the perfect place for a table or counter of some kind for more counter space. Lastly, the bed was hard as a rock with a dip in the middle. Might be time to invest in a new mattress in room 838
Summary: Will definitely stay here again next time I come to St Louis.

Positive: The location was great, we found some lovely restaurants close by. The service was brilliant. The staff around the pool were so nice, on a very very hot day.
Negative: The parking was expensive $40 overnight a surprise to have to pay for this.

Positive: Wonderful hotel in the perfect location - best hotel in St. Louis. Valet and front desk staff excellent. Loved all the amenities including movie theaters.
Negative: Small problems with staff room services. We stayed 4 nights. Daily room clean up was not completely done.
