Summary:
This old-world historic adobe estate offers an escape from today's fast-paced life and an opportunity to step back to a time of rich New Mexico heritage. Our property sits on 3 lush acres in the Santa Cruz River Valley with views of the Sangra de Cristo mountains. We are conviniently located just 25 minutes north of Santa Fe.
Our home sleeps 10 in beds* with 4 large bedrooms, 5 1/2 bathrooms, 7 fireplaces, library, sunroom, bar, swimming pool, hot-tub, private creek, veranda and a nearly 2,000 sf courtyard. One of the bedrooms is detached from the home and offers another layer of seclusion and escape. This room is fitted with a sitting area, kiva fireplace, small refrigerator, Nespresso coffee maker, soaking bathtub and spacious shower.

In case remote work is in your daily schedule, we have you covered! At our villa,enjoy a ”laptop-friendly environment” with high-speed internet and numerous working areas to chose from whether indoors or outdoors.
The Space:
Our home offers a 4,500 square foot villa behind a private gated entrance. The home is situated amongst 200+ year old cottonwoods, weeping willows, colorful gardens and meadows. The elements of style for which this property is known – authentic adobe brick, hand carved furnishings, rough-hewn beams, Native American artifacts, rugs, and colorful folk art – are all wonderfully featured throughout our home. Centrally located just 25 minutes north of Santa Fe, the property's origins date back to the early 1800's when it served as the stagecoach stop between Santa Fe and Taos along the El Camino Real. All rooms have exterior entrances while three can be accessed from within the house. It's a bit funky as its a restored period piece with with the original layout.

Summary: My family of 10 found this awesome property with tons of amenities for a ski vacation. The property had comfortable accommodations for each family member and we had a great time. It was convenient to the slopes, a big kitchen, dining room and outdoor spaces so we could enjoy the solitude this home provided.

Summary: This is one of my favorite rentals I have ever stayed in. The property itself is gorgeous and the house is filled with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There's a plethora of bathrooms with extra towels and sheets, beds were very comfortable and kitchen is stocked with all the cooking essentials. My friends and I spent a long weekend hanging between the hot tub and courtyard, only ever wanting to leave for a Starbucks and grocery run, both of which are a short drive away. Rick was the most accommodating host and is quick with responses. 100% will be staying here again.

Summary: It was fantastic and it actually matched the photos in the description. The home was very well maintained for how old it was and still had modern amenities such as wi-fi that had no dead spots. Rick was responsive when I called him about an issue. There were 7 of us and there was more than enough space for everyone to have privacy when they wanted it. Highly recommended.

Summary: Beautiful decor and unique layout. Great space for our family. Owner was very responsive when the pool needed to be cleaned and took care of it almost immediately. The sunroom was our favorite spot. The only issue we had was the landscaping crew on the property during our stay. I can certainly see this venue/property being an amazing wedding spot. Thank you!

Summary: This is the most beautiful property we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. We rented it out for our wedding and it could not have been more perfect. Amanda and Rick are incredible folks and have a keen eye for thoughtful artistic touches, which is apparent throughout the hacienda. What an incredible experience!

Summary: My group of 10 people absolutely loved our stay! The home is in a beautiful location. When we arrived everything was meticulously cleaned and sanitized, and the home felt warm and inviting. The property is wonderful, and Rick is one of the best hosts I’ve ever conversed with. Despite being on a family trip, he was very consistent with responses and offered fantastic recommendations in the area. This was my first time to New Mexico, and when I return for another visit Rick will be the first person I contact! Overall 5/5 stay. With a private pool, jacuzzi, fire pit and roaming peacocks this place is a little slice of heaven. Thanks again Rick, and I look forward to returning soon! -Jorge
