Summary: Great in all weathers! I arrived at this riverside garden signal box in the rain, then experienced it in the wind and the sun - all in two days. It's large enough to be comfortable indoors whatever the weather and well-equipped enough for cooking for yourself. But it is small enough to feel cosy, just the right size for one or two. It's set among trees, like living in a tree-house. There's a wonderful feeling of being among the elements, while protected from them. I learned to keep the windows closed if I had lights on after dark - the moths are easy enough to catch and release, but they are drawn to the light. It's only just out of Whanganui, so town is convenient when you want it. When you don't, you can wander (or cycle) along the riverbank to a pedestrian bridge which takes you to the nearest settlement on the other side. Definitely recommend it and would stay again.
