The Southern "JEM" is your family-friendly, beach home away from home! Located at the Purple Parrot Resort, the "JEM" is just 800 yards from the beautiful beaches of Perdido Key. With three nearby beach access areas, your family will find the perfect place to play on the beach . This two-bedroom with two and a half bath cottage has everything you need for the perfect family get away! Each bedroom is nicely appointed with plenty of room to move about and good storage.
The living room has a large sectional sofa looking out to the covered porch. You can enjoy the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee or relax at sunset from the outdoor space. Additionally, there is an upper deck off the master bedroom. The living room has a 62" smart TV with free Wifi with high speed Internet.
The master bedroom has a beautiful KING 14" firm gel memory foam mattress bed with comfortable bedding and a 42" TV. The guest room has two QUEENbeds with TV as well. Both master bedroom and guest room have full bathroom with vanity and a shower/tub combo.
The "JEM" has a fully equipped kitchen with cookware, pots, pans, a programmable coffee maker, stemless wine glasses and dinnerware for 8. We even have sippy cups for your children. In addition, there is a baby gate as well as a high chair for your use while staying at "The JEM". Some beach toys and beach umbrella are there for your pleasure. There is a stackable washer/dryer for your usage while you're enjoying your stay at the Purple Parrot Resort.
The resort style pool with fountains are a huge point of relaxation! Easy access to the hot tub located within the luxurious pool area. If it happens to be chilly, there is an indoor pool with hot tub as well. If you're needing an exercise room, take advantage of the state-of-the-art fitness center located in the center of the property.
When you're ready to get out and listen to music, grab a drink, the Purple Parrot has an on-site tiki bar and snack shop. Included with your rental is free admission to the tiki bar only steps away from "The Southern JEM". This 5000 ft² open air complex is an Oasis Available exclusively for the Purple Parrot residents and guest. The pool area has beach chairs and umbrellas as well as showers, restroom and a centrally located grill. The snack shop offers delicious chicken tenders and pizza and other snacks.

Summary: Love this place! Very clean, great AC (it was very hot outside!), perfect location in resort considering Tiki Bar stays open late. The Jem had everything we needed from kitchen items to bathroom toiletries. The balconies were fabulous to sit out on morning and night. The pool was amazing, even though the beach was 5 minutes away, we had everything we needed at the pool…live music, drinks, food and other friendly vacationers. Highly recommend the “Southern Jem” for their hospitality and great communication ❤️

Summary: We had the best time staying at this condo. The location on the property was perfect. It was just close enough to the pool, but far enough away, so that it wasn’t too loud. The amenities are perfect for our family and we felt like home. Can’t wait to book it again next summer! And the communication with the owner was also amazing!

Summary: A family beach trip for two adults and three kids. Accommodations met our needs. Location was great. Easy 5 minute drive to state park beach which was beautiful. Host was very responsive to all communication. Check in was easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Location was great, pool was fantastic. Walk over to pool was short. And drive to beach was quick. If you plan to go more than once, paying for the pass to Johnson Beach was worth it. Unit had some minor issues, but owner got them fixed as quickly as possible. Communication with owner was good. Memory foam mattresses were a little too firm for my liking, but very supportive. Cleaning crew could have done a little better job, but nothing major. Overall, we quite enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We slept four adults and two kids easily.

Summary: We went down for Spring break with our 3 daughters (12,4,6) and we all had a blast! It was a perfect location in the property by being close to the pools/ Tiki bar area but not to close to be bothered by noise. The public beach access along with shops and restaurants were within a 5 minute driving distance. Our host was AMAZING and the house had everything we needed!!
