Positive: The location has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, this ensured peace and tranquility during our stay at The Stables. We loved sitting on the patio wit a glass of wine in the evening enjoying absolute quietness, it was very relaxing. We came home refreshed and we will return in the future to the amazing Gables. The kitchen facilities, furniture and the bedroom were excellent and made our stay there very comfortable. Thank you very much Rachel for your welcome gift, much appreciated. Out and about, Oakham and Stamford are highly recommended, they are really interesting places to visit.
Negative: There was nothing to dislike, everything about The Gables was enjoyable. PS, my name is Bernard Wood, it was unfortunate that autofill got my Christian name and Surname the wrong way round.
Summary: To unwind and relax The Gables is the best place to stay.

Positive: Views over wide open countryside yet 5 minutes away from supermarkets and very good dining in Oakham.
Negative: The drive to the cottage is up a rutted farm track - a necessary part of the bargain of getting away from it all but one to be aware of if you're a nervous driver or have a low slung car.
Summary: Comfortable,
