Positive: Lovely welcome from the staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable with walk in shower. We were staying overnight whilst attending a wedding so we didn’t have an evening meal at the inn but the food looked good and breakfast was very nice. The inn is in a lovely village with a delightful duck pond next door.

Positive: Brilliant pub, with welcoming staff. Excellent food (the lamb and mint pie was to die for), all washed down with a couple of pints of excellent locally brewed beer. Room comfy and nice view of the duck pond from the window.
Negative: I was disappointed that even though I booked bed and breakfast, I had a (fairly) early start and needed to leave by 7.45, but was informed that breakfast service didn't start until 08.30! Maybe this is acceptable at the weekend, but on a week day? I was given some excuse that the landlady was working late and had to cater for dinners in the restaurant until late (as far as I could see, I was the only dinner and was finished and up to my room by 20.00). I also noticed, when scanning my receipt for our accountancy software), that I had been charged £12 for a breakfast that I had just been told was not going to happen. So I went off to my meeting and first substantial food was the sandwich lunch at 13.00. Not ideal.
Summary: Fantastic pub, fab food and beer, breakfast not served until 08.30, so missed out (but charged!)
