The Sugar Mill Tower is accessed by descending a long set of steps to the entrance. The Tower is not suitable for wheel chairs or anyone who has difficulty with steps.

The University Club serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is within 8 minutes walking distance or less than 3 minutes by car. We will be glad to arrange club access and make reservations for you.

On site parking. Almost all of our guests book rental cars. Taxi and driver services are available. A local bus will stop anywhere along the road if you signal to it.

Summary: Pros Location & views Nearby beaches & restaurants the dock mutiple seating areas & space Comfy bed and pillows On site staff very pleasant Paper products and fresh towels as needed Quiet & privacy Beach chairs & towles Cons Roaches in bedroom (3) Cost of $600.00 host fee Rooms were not vacummed and daily housekeeping was non-existent except once in 11 days Deck was dirty/sticky with wax etc.., soiled carpets Kitchen musty, old moldy smell Broken step on dock ladder pool temp was too warm due to size Property needs much work Our biggest issue is that we rented the unit as a two bedroom and the second bedroom was locked during our stay. When we reached out to property manager she denied us the credit for renting a two bedroom as a one BR. We sent receipts etc for clarity to her and never heard back. We finally received a credit from VRBO but this took a month to finalize.The "host" fee which we thought included cleaning was, in our opinion, astronomcal for the housekeeping & grounds service. We are still not sure what it covers, beware and ask. There is a larger villa at the top of the hill that can be rented out so your privacy is comprimised.

Summary: Sugar Mill Tower has to be one of the best locations on Lance Aux Epines overlooking the Prickly Bay. Beautiful views, comfortable room, fully equipped kitchen, large outdoor living space, private pool and beach access with kayaks. Short walk to Prickly Bay Marina and a short drive to everything you need to see. Cindy the manager was great and made sure we had everything we needed and keep the room clean and fresh. Very safe, perfectly quiet and very secluded. Loved watching the iguanas play in the trees from the elevated deck area. Had a wonderful time and we will be back.

Summary: You could experience both eating out with restaurants within walking distance or cook in. We did both and loved it! Pool/dock and Tower were simply marvelous.

Summary: The setting overall was lovely. The private pool, beach and dock were all wonderful. However, the ladder on the dock was covered in slime and very flimsy. We were afraid it would break when we used it. Also, the only set of fins were broken. Some of the SUP and kayak equipment was also unusable. The queen bed was very flimsy. The kitchen smelled very moldy so we never stayed in there very long.

Summary: Great place to start our getaway, with a private setting and gorgeous views overlooking Prickly Bay ... especially from the infinity pool! Lynn was very helpful getting us set up as well as with any questions we had. The only potential issue is that the property is steep (as is most of Grenada) and there are quite a few stairs to get to the towers, so folks with mobility issues may want to stay in the main house instead. There are several excellent restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook - we highly recommend kayaking down to the Sand Bar! Highly recommended, we hope to return some day.
