Summary: We were three families with 5 kids and the house was set up nicely for time together and for the kids to break off to the downstairs rec room while the adults hung out upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the beds are very comfortable. It’s very convenient to Elk Mountain.

Summary: The house gave my family the needed touch of reality. The building was well situated ideal, clean, with needed utensils. Lawn was well mentained in a quiet neighborhood. The owner is a wonderful individual and she provided assistance when I needed it. Thanks 😊

Summary: We really enjoyed the piece and quiet of the property and the amazing view off the porch. We had a good time catching up with our friends. Only concern was we couldn’t figure out the AC so we just slept with the windows open enjoying the mountain air and listening to the rain

Summary: The house was beautiful and spacious. It was very nice having so much space not only inside the house but outside too, we were able to play different kinds of sports and have all sorts of fun. We loved the bonfires at night (it has a lot of wood), the silence of the woods, the amazing view from the balcony at sunset... Lisa was amazing as a host as well, very responsive, and accommodating! The only downside was that it is a little bit tricky to get to the house for the first time, but if you follow all the directions on the welcome email, there will be no problem. Thanks Lisa!

Summary: The Sunset Lodge is beautiful! We stayed here for a weekend - two families, 10 of us total, kids ranging from 8 to 14 - for a ski weekend at Elk Mountain. It's about a fifteen minute drive to Elk. The house was a perfect ski home - the garage is set up perfectly to be able to get dressed for/come home from skiing, with enough space to deal with all your gear. It was nice to have the basement/downstairs rec room for the kids to hang out. It's a bit more updated than the pictures show - the downstairs bathroom has been renovated, and the bedrooms are more airy and light than the pictures show. Of note is that the bunk room downstairs now only has one set of bunks and one full bed, instead of two sets of bunks as the pictures show. Lisa was quick to respond to questions. We chose to pay a cleaning fee, so as to not lose anytime of the slopes, but you could just as easily have saved some money and run sheets and towels through the laundry if you had the time. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We wanted to rent a place for my daughter's surprise birthday party. We found this listing and thought it looked nice. The reviews were good. However, after we booked it, we found out we had to clean it before we left or pay a cleaning fee. We thought that was weird. We have stayed at many rental properties and have never been asked to clean it. We have paid cleaning fees before, but these have been listed upfront. Also, when we got there, Lisa was still there cleaning. She said check-in was at 3:00, but it said 2:00 on the website and app. The listing mentions 2 refrigerators, so we brought a lot of food for the party. Both refrigerators had food in them when we got there. We moved things around and were able to fit everything but the drinks, but were surprised by the amount of food at the house. I think Lisa lives there when she stays in the area, which is fine, but should be mentioned in the overall listing. My daughter and her friends had a great time, but I just thought all these other surprises should be mentioned in the reviews so other people have the full details before booking.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at the Sunset Lodge. The home was comfortable and cozy. The view off of the balcony overlooking the Endless Mountains was beautiful! We will be back!
