(Friday to Friday weekly rental June-Aug, flexible other months) A tranquil water-front cottage know as 'Sweetamoe Cottage'. This sweet cottage is straight out of a story book. The large Deck and Gorgeous new screened in porch Overlook Ossipee's beautiful main lake and our private sandy 120' beach, the view doesn't get better than this! This setting is ideal for couples and small families seeking to get away and relax. Ideal for 4, cozy with 6 if two are small children. (Friday - Friday rental during June-August) Flexible rental May, Sept and Oct.
Swim, Boat, Kayak or Fish or Just Sit Back, Relax, Read a book or Watch the Boats. Better Still, You Can Bring Your Own or Rent one at the Local Marina. We provide one boat slip that accommodates up to 22' boat! We are located directly behind Ossipee's Indian Mound Golf Course. Enjoy all the Amenities the Lakes Region Has to Offer, Including Restaurants, Golfing, Boating, Hiking and Shopping. When the Fun Filled Day Winds Down, Sit Back with a Cold Beverage and listen to your Steaks Sizzle on the Grill and dine by moonlight overlooking the lake listening to the Loons. Watch a Movie on the TV or Enjoy the Free WiFi.
This 2 Bedroom Well Equipped Cottage Sleeps 6 (1 queen bed, 2 twin bunk beds - the 2 bottom bunks are really better suited for small children) and Has All Full Size Appliances, Including Microwave, Toaster, Blender, Keurig Coffee Maker and of Course A Wine Opener. We also provide 2 kayaks, and noodle floats for long afternoons on the beach that is full sun all day. Enjoy an outdoor (or indoor!) shower at the end of the day. There are also 6 Adirondack chairs to make you comfy while sitting around the Fire Pit in the evening! Sweetamoe Cottage provides casual comfort as you make Family Memories or entertain Good Friends! (sorry no pets allowed, no exceptions, neighborhood association rule). We do not provide sheets or towels so you will need to bring your own. There are also no laundry machines but there is a laundromat nearby.

Summary: Absolutely amazing weekend getaway. From the small details of the bathroom toothbrushes to the sweetest welcome treats including Halloween stickers for our 3 year old son, this property is truly a gem. Lorraine was so great with communication and we had an absolute blast. Highly recommend and already dreaming of our next stay!!

Summary: Tranquil, cozy and clean with beautiful views of the mountains and lakes, this adorable home delivers. The owners went above and beyond to communicate - from the moment of inquiry to the end of our stay. (Though it's worth noting there was nothing we needed across the time we were there as everything was so organized and accessible.) The listing description is both accurate and thorough so that the only surprises upon arrival are the tiny touches sprinkled about the cabin that say, "We're glad you're here!" Beyond the lake front proximity of the home, we were drawn to the idea that no matter the weather, we could still sit and enjoy the view. We had the indoor view with the large slider out to the beach, the screened-in porch, the deck, the fire pit area with Adirondack chairs, the grassy area, and the sand - and we ultimately used them all! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will remember this trip for a long, long time.

Summary: We had the most wonderful week at Sweetamoe cottage! We brought our little family of 5 up for a week of hiking and exploring in the area and this was the perfect spot for us to stay! The cottage is small but so lovely both inside and out, and was plenty of space for us. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bunk room has a window A/C unit which we appreciated being up there during a few of the hotter summer days. The kitchen/living area had everything we needed to cook, grill, and play, including S'mores ingredients and board games. Our favorite thing about the house was the screened porch - it has an amazing view of the lake, and basically doubles the living space and was a great place to relax and read, play games, or became the "play room" for our 5 and 3yo where they set up their toys. There's also a projector we were able to use on the porch to watch movies in the evening. The setting of the cottage is truly idyllic - it's literally steps from the sandy little beach out front and water that's great for swimming and boating. We used the kayaks every afternoon to paddle around the lake, which was great fun for us and our kids. The kids played in the sand for hours, and we were able to sit up on the big deck and watch them because of how close it was! (Also the outdoor shower was so great!) The sunrises and sunsets were stunning on the lake, showing off New England beauty at its finest. In addition to the place being truly superb, Lorraine was an incredible host. She was very responsive to messages and questions when we didn't know where something was, and has clearly put great thought and intention into making the space a really memorable setting for guests. We can't wait to return again!

Summary: We have been coming to Lake Ossipee for years, but this was our first stay here at Sweetamoe. It was a beautiful little property! It has been updated and was comfortable to stay in! The beach and water were right in front of us. We rented a boat for four days and this property had access to a boat slip/dock. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We highly recommend this location and will be back again next year!

Summary: This cottage is an absolute dream - tiny, but very clean and well-appointed, with the most perfect location. A beautiful, large deck that is pretty much 40 feet from the beach/lake. We traveled with our 2 sons (4 yrs and 11 months) who had the best time playing in the sand and splashing in the lake. I loved sitting on the deck with my morning coffee watching the sunrise and roasting s'mores at the firepit in the evening. The screened in deck and outdoor shower were well-used, too. We love the quiet community, which is perfect for kids to ride their bikes safely and stroll a baby to sleep. Lorraine, the owner, was extremely responsive and kind. I 110% recommend (but wish I could keep it a secret just for myself!).

Summary: Sweetamoe Cottage is definitely the sweetest cottage and the best location on the lake. The cottage was beautiful ! Exactly what we were looking for; plenty of room, cozy and a home away from home for a week. The screened porch, large deck space and outdoor shower were perfect for our family. We can’t say enough about the location. There was green space and the beach right down the deck stairs. The view is spectacular! Also being able to dock our boat right on the lake….. steps from the cottage was my husband’s dream come true. We have made memories that will last a lifetime. Lorraine was an absolute pleasure to communicate with, super responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back to create more memories!
