Welcome to the Trout House!
Come and enjoy the tranquility and relaxation at this lovely large chalet home in the beautiful Arrowhead Lake Community. The home is walking distance to island pool, lake and recreation area.
We offer 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The first level boasts an open living area with free Wi-Fi internet connection, flat screen tv, dvd player and wood burning stove fireplace, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and dining area. Walk out the sliding doors to the large deck that includes a gas grill or down to the lawn to enjoy the outdoor fire pit. This first level has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and 2 full baths, one with jacuzzi bathtub.
The lower level offers a 3rd bedroom with 1 twin bunk bed and 1 single bed and full bath with shower. There is also another living room with hdtv, ping pong table. A double futon for additional sleeping space is also located on the lower level. Walk out the back door to the 7-person hot tub.
Arrowhead is a pristine gated community with two large lakes, five beaches and three heated pools. The island pool is great for kids with a large fountain, zero entry walk in and adjacent bathrooms and snack bar. The island also has barbecue grills, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball court, bike and boat rentals and a playground. The lodge offers a library, gym, pool tables, banquet room, great room and an overlook of the lake.
We are 15 minutes to Jack Frost and big boulder and 30 minutes to camelback, Kalahari and the crossings outlet mall.
- Reservation Policy
After booking a reservation, you will receive a rental agreement that must be completed, signed, and returned to the owner within 24 hours. The reservation will only be confirmed after the agreement has been reviewed and accepted.
Once booking is confirmed, you will receive an email that will contain instructions on how to remit any associated community fees to complete the community registration.
Arrowhead Lake Community (ALCA) Fees**:
Note: Fees not included in rental fee; Community fees are paid to ALCA.
- $20 gate card fee for each vehicle
- $20 transaction fee
- temporary membership (aged 6 and older) /day /person
- $8.50 (In Season: May 24, 2024 – Sep 2, 2024)
- $2.00 (Off Season)
** ALCA Fees will be calculated and added to the booking total once booking is approved/confirmed. Approved booking have to be fully paid no less than three (3) days prior to arrival. Payments will not be accepted after the deadline and renters will not be permitted entry into the community.
Policies:
- No smoking
- No pets allowed. Any evidence of pets in the home will result in a $300 fine
- No events, parties, or large gatherings allowed. No "Prom Parties", "Senior Week", etc.
- Must be at least 25 years old to book. No drop-offs of minors under 25; parents must accompany minors under 25 for the entirety of rental.
- Linens and towels are provided
- Max. 3 vehicles allowed on the property.
- Additional fees and taxes may apply
- Photo ID may be required upon check-in
- Please report any damages that occur to the Owner as soon as possible.
- The rules of Arrowhead Lake Community are strictly enforced. You will be held accountable for any violations/fees which will be charged to damage deposit.
- All trash must be removed from the property at the end of the rental period
- All used sheets, towels, etc. to be removed from beds and bathroom and left in the washer.
- Cancellation Policy
100% rental fee refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% rental refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
ALCA fees are refunded if booking is cancelled three (3) days or more prior to arrival except ALCA transaction fee which is not refundable.

Summary: Two adults, 4 teen boys (19,16). The ping pong table, hot tub, and walking distance to Island Pool (lake, kayak rental, sports equipment rental) were a big hit. Full kitchen and outdoor grill for cooking. Lots of room to spread out. Response property manager. The lodge is a 5 minute drive with pool tables. Close to grocery. Chiminea in front for roasting marshmallows. Wonderful getaway with my boys. Definitely recommend.

Summary: We had seen this place a few years earlier when a family member rented it for their family, and it was great for us, too. I love that linens were included (really cuts down on the packing!), and everything was clean and comfortable. The pictures don't do justice to just how big the place is; we were just a few adults and a couple of kids, but it would be great for several adults and/or teens with that cavernous basement! Thanks for a good trip!

Summary: Overall, we were very happy with the place and the location. Sonny was very responsive to any requests and questions. The only issue was the beds were noisy when you sat on them or rolled over.

Summary: This was the perfect house for our group (2 families of 4) because there is a huge basement with a full bathroom so everyone could have their own space. Also, the first floor is a big open concept room with high ceilings (felt like it was actually a lot nicer than the pictures!). Was a very short walk to the Island pool, which the kids loved. Lake beach was also great, and we had fun roasting marshmallows in the fire pit in the front yard. We would definitely stay here again. The only cons for us were that the bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable (needs new pillows and new mattress!) and the hot tub didn't work while we were there. However, Sonny was very responsive in trying to help us get it to work, sent out someone to check as soon as possible, and just wasn't able to get it fixed in time because of our short stay. Thanks for a great vacation!

Summary: The house had a big open living room area with a large comfortable couch. It made it very pleasant to stay there. There was lots of room for the baby to crawl around. The deck was shaded in the afternoon and was a nice to place to sit. We took full advantage of the pools that were just down the street.

Summary: This is a beautiful, well-appointed and incredibly spacious property that was perfect for a family with teens! The bedroom and bathroom in the basement allowed for privacy for the boys while the girls enjoyed their own bathroom and bedroom upstairs. Needless to say, the ping pong table was a hit! The kitchen had everything we could need to cook big dinners and breakfasts! The owner is incredibly responsive! Will definitely return!

Summary: Everything about our family trip to the Poconos this time around was truly wonderful. The house was very clean, centrally located, and well-stocked with everything we needed to leave our cares behind for a week. The host is very communicative and committed to ensuring that you have everything you need to enjoy your stay at his property. We had one question when we first arrived, and he called back within 30 minutes with the answer! The property is a 3-minute walk to a great pool/playground and a short drive to many other ALC amenities. Highly recommend!

Summary: Property was clean and spacious for 4 adults and 4 kids. Easy check in and check out. Listing and pictures were accurate. We Loved the hot tub. Movies and games there for kids is a plus. The basement was actually larger than expected which was great for the kids to have their own space and play on the rainy day we had. Loved having conveniences of home available to us making life easier and less packing for a 3 night stay … linens, towels, utensils and cookware to use. Lots of things to do in the community. Thank you for hosting us. We enjoyed our holiday weekend

Summary: We were looking for a family friendly fun getaway. We got that and so much more. There were so many activities available to do between the beaches and pools. You can rent canoes and there are events going on at night to attend as well. We will definitely be back again next year!
