This property offers 0.75 acres of majestic south facing sunshine over arguably the best view on Cowichan Lake. Enjoy 120 feet of walk-on swimmable lakefront with a private dock for your boat, ladder and water slide.
Summer availability is from Saturday to Saturday only.
The 2750 sq ft Lakehouse has 5 bedrooms/3.5 bathrooms, and comfortably sleeps up to 8. There is an efficient heat pump for year round comfort, two propane fireplaces and a double garage.
The main level contains:
- a beautiful kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances
- a dining room with an adjustable table seating up to 12 people
- living room area with a 55" flat screen TV
- access to 300 sq ft deck
- master bedroom with a king size bed, full ensuite bathroom and walk in closet
- second bedroom with a double size bed
- third bedroom with bunk beds (twin size) and a crib
- additional 1.5 bathrooms
- laundry room with brand new washer/dryer
The lower level contains:
- family room with a 75" flat screen TV
- large recreation room for toys, games, ping pong etc.
- access to walk-out 300 sq ft covered patio
- fourth bedroom with a queen size bed
- fifth bedroom with two twin size beds
All ready for Lake fun is the beachfront gazebo. It has a mini fridge, bar chairs and stores life jackets and other outdoor toys. It's also a great shelter on hot or rainy days. Attached to the gazebo is a 750 sq ft patio with a 180* lake view. The deck and docks have umbrellas for your comfort during the hot summer days and a heat lamp for the cool nights. The yard is a giant playground for all ages.

Summary: You won’t find a better lake vacation rental! This property has everything you need and more! Justin was super easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed to have a lovely vacation. The kids had endless fun playing with all the toys, swimming, fishing, making s’mores on the fire, and movie nights. There are spots all over the property to relax while supervising the kids. The gazebo was a great hub set up with a fridge and bbq so you don’t need to leave the lake all day. We will definitely be back!

Summary: Our family had an incredible 1 week stay at this property. The owners have very clearly planned out every small detail with amenities, and activities for kids. The layout of the house was well designed for families with a clean, modern feel. The lake views from the house (with small Island in the background) were quite possibly some of the nicest on the entire lake. We would definitely love to come back again!

Summary: My family along with another family stayed at this vacation rental for 7 nights. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the house. Upon arrival, it was very clean and well organized. It had an easy to follow manual of the house and what the property had to offer. There were paddle boards, kayaks, a kids playground, kids toys, art supplies, lifejackets, beach toys - everything you need for a family vacation. I would definitely stay at this location again. The owner was very pleasant to deal with and was available if any problem was to arise. The massive Elk that visited every morning and night was a nice touch too. Highly recommend this place.

Summary: Justin's property is just pristine and perfect. Great location on the lake, nicely protected by a small island and gets morning and afternoon sun. Lots of room for 8 people to spread out and enjoy. This was our second summer and we plan to come back!

Summary: We spent two fabulous weeks at the Island Family Lakehouse. The location is fantastic. Right on the water. Back from the road that circles the lake. Family friendly (we have three children ages 10-17). Lots of space indoors & outdoors (both in sun & shade). Well maintained. Justin, the owner was easily accessible if needed & very helpful in ensuring that we had a great stay. Finally - the lake is stunning - great for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and playing. We feel blessed to have had such a great family vacation.

Summary: We had a great time in this beautiful lakefront property. Wonderful swimming, paddling and boating in the lake. Biking and hiking a short drive away. The house and grounds are so lovely - Justin and Rachel seem to have thought of everything. We loved it and will definitely come back.

Summary: This place was perfect for our fall long weekend getaway! The set up was great and there was even a crib for the baby! They have everything you need for toys for the kids (both inside and out) and the adults to relax! The sloping grass field down to the beach is an idyllic view and perfect for kids and dogs! Owners were readily available and inquiring if we needed anything. They were also very understanding after we lost our dog and requested a late check out to search for him. We ended up finding him right before we had to leave thank goodness! Will definitely be coming back again (but maybe without the dog next time!)
