Summary: Every year my brother, and myself take our mother away for a weekend trip for some quality family time. This year we rented Chris's house. The house is secluded so you are in your own private oasis but not more than 10-15 minutes from supermarkets or restaurants. The house itself is beautiful and well stocked with the essentials. Chris was never more that a text away and responds quickly. We spent the weekend playing various games inside and outside, BBQ, and finished each night with a movie. Thank-You Chris for a wonderful weekend!!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this clean and modern house. It is nicely equipped with all the necessities but it was the little extras (ice cream, snacks, drinks, coffee) that set it apart. It had fun stuff too like games, corn hole, bocci ball and a fire pit. The property owner was thoughtful and easy to contact. We loved the privacy of the property’s acreage. The location was close to restaurants and a neat thrift store. It was an easy drive to the Vanderbilt, Roosevelt, CIA and Olana sites.

Summary: My family and I had an AMAZING time on our weekend getaway! Chris was so pleasant to speak with! There were snacks and waters waiting for us upon arrival as well as a freezer full of ice cream and other things in the fridge we may have needed. The house was clean and we had no issues checking in or out. There were also trails for riding which we loved! We had so much fun and felt at home while we were there. We will definitely be coming back!

Summary: Three generations, ages 18 months and up, thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this property. With lots of space to hike and explore plus bocce ball and a fire pit, we had plenty of outdoor activities. The indoors offered plenty of space, board games, Wi-Fi, and televisions to keep everyone entertained on a rainy Sunday, and we enjoyed our outings to nearby local attractions too. Chris was great to work with and went out of his way to provide amenities and make our stay the best it could be.

Summary: This was a wonderful property! The furnishings are lovely, the scenery out of every window was serene and full of autumn color, and everything we needed was provided. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the Hyde Park or Poughkeepsie area.

Summary: Loved this place. Great house. Well stocked. Outdoor bocce ball and hiking were wonderful additions. Great spot to jump off for apple picking.

Summary: Our stay at Chris’s property was 5 star. He called me personally and let me know he’d put items like eggs, ketchup and ice cream in the refrigerator for us. He had bottled water for us, and after traveling by air and land for 10 hours it was much appreciated. The house was impeccable and immaculate. You know how you feel when go somewhere and it’s so clean you’re afraid to mess it up? It’s so brand new we tried hard to keep it looking that way! We loved the bed, very comfortable. The couch was wonderful for watching all the great streaming services, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. We made ourselves great appetizers and hung out with our kid. We just needed that family down time to be together. The property is very quiet, we took long walks around the 100 acres, and Chris even left us s’mores fixings along with firewood and kindling. We had a great time with that, reminded us of our many great camping trips. We are so happy to share this review with you because Chris’s hospitality was above and beyond, and also because his cause is an excellent one: he is giving veterans employment and support. We look forward to another chance to visit in the next year.

Summary: This incredible property is only matched by its incredible mission and owner. The Veteran house is absolutely beautiful. The property is immense and the host, Chris, is the real deal. He is an absolute hero who has a mission to help our American veterans. His hospitality is unmatched - he left treats for our kids- explicit directions for the house - and couldn’t have been more gracious or amazing. We hope to stay again soon and couldn’t recommend this property more.
