Positive: The mattresses were comfortable and housekeeping did a great job.
Negative: The toilet paper is rough, the building lost hot water - in the middle of winter - and the front desk was rude about it and didn't offer any credit or discount on the bill, and our room was near the elevator which was very loud. Also our door wouldn't latch unless you pushed fully against it.

Positive: Some and I mean just some of the staff were nice and helpful.
Negative: The internet was non-existent. The young lady who checked us in was useless. We had to figure things out like breakfast on our own. And speaking of breakfast which was so, so...you'd have to wait to be seated and they were in no way in a hurry. But, to their benefit if there is one they only had one person waiting on the guest. It was just terrible. And forget taking a hot shower if they had a lot of people staying there. Won't be back and won't recommend.

Positive: Loved the location. It was about a 12 minute walk from navy pier which is where we needed to go.
Negative: There were no washcloths in the room and when we went it was super busy and in the morning with everyone trying to use the water, the hot water stopped working. My husband ended up taking a cold shower because we had no hot water.

Positive: Location was great, good amenities like the pool and gym although a jacuzzi would have been even better. Bar and restaurant were very convenient, and businesses nearby
Negative: This hotel is “selective” about managing their 3rd party communications via Booking.com. They’ll ignore your messages in advance about altering arrival dates and then try to charge you for them despite following up 2-3 times via message before the cut off date. They apparently like responding to reviews on here that are positive, but will ignore responding to guest requests. They claim it’s “policy” regardless of your requests. Definitely not giving a “4-star hotel” vibe. It comes off as scammy and lacking in good customer service. As far as the property itself, it was nice but could use some updates in paint and details. The gym should also have a cable pulley machine instead of exclusively machines dedicated to specific muscle groups for variety. Rooms need better options for water with cups as they give you cheap plastic ones, and they need a coffee machine with accoutrements.

Negative: The sliding bathroom door was very hard to open and close, and, importantly, left a big one inch gap that didn’t allow privacy.
