Positive: A great wee place for a couple to stay, as a base to explore North Fife and adjacent Perthshire. Compact, well appointed with fast wi-fi. Bed was more comfortable than it first seemed. Powerful shower and the underfloor heating in the bathroom would be great in the cooler months. Good range of shops on the main street, within walking distance. Takeaway food options were welcomed (though we got to the pop-up pizza van too late - arrive 6 at the latest!). Good walks to be had from the flat either down by the Tay or up on the hill above the town
Negative: No on-site parking (but we did park up outside to decant luggage as kindly suggested by the host) but parking on the main street was easy. Kitchen a bit too "cosy" for 2 people to operate in! The flat is on an "A" road so sleeping with the window open (as we like to do) was OK during the night but it would be a noisy awakening for those who like to lie-in

Negative: All correspondence in the lead up to the stay stated that check in was from 3pm. We arrived at the property just before 3 and waited for the lockbox code to be sent to us. After 3pm we called the contact numbers that went straight to voicemail. As we were attending a wedding nearby that started at 3:30pm we had to get changed in the car and leave perishable food in the car while we went to the wedding. At 5pm I received a text with the lockbox code and a message saying that checkin is from 4pm. Very disappointing. There is an overgrown buddleia bush at the entrance to the property that scrapes the roof when blown by the wind. This kept us both awake all night. We only stayed for 1 night instead of 2 as a result.

Positive: It felt cosy and homely inside, it was a quiet area so was nice and peaceful in the evening. The host was kind and very helpful during our stay.
Negative: The parking was sometimes a little tricky, but mostly fine.
Summary: We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

Positive: I had an absolutely amazing stay here! Everything was charming. The whole place was exactly as described. It was clean and beautifully decorated with lots of lovely additions........snacks, good information for the surrounding area. Easy communication with the host. Cosy and comfortable ❤️ 'd it!

Positive: Clean, comfortable accomodation. Very quiet and private - felt completely at home. Communication from host was great, very welcoming and friendly. There is absolutely everything you need here and it is finished to high standard. Will definitely look to book again next time I'm in the area.

Positive: Truly a cosy wee hideaway. I really enjoyed a few relaxing days in this cosy, character full hideaway. I had everything I needed, including full oven and dishwasher. The street and neighborhood was nice and friendly, despite full on roadworks. I enjoyed the homely and comfortable feel, and could fully relax in the evening and slept well every night.
Negative: There may be some historic damp or other allergens in the property, just a heads up for those sensitive. It's a historic building so I guess not too surprising if it is. Not saying there is, but I am very sensitive and did react to something. It doesn't smell damp. Parking was a problem, but this was most likely because of the roadworks.

Negative: Newburgh high street had roadworks so busy road all day so not really nice view.
