Summary: Very nice gym, which was new and the pool area with sauna on the top floor was very nice as well. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. We slept great because the bed is super comfortable as well.

Summary: We went to Calgary for the Calgary Stampede. We had a very welcoming experience at the Westin Downtown. The staff was super helpful and very friendly. The room was clean with upgraded decor. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. The hotel is located in a convenient downtown area, within walking distance to very good restaurants and the public transit. The red and blue lines are free to ride within the downtown area if you don’t want to walk. The steakhouse inside the Westin had good food, and the breakfast Buffett was good.

Summary: We spent a weekend here, the hotel is nice, staff were nice, great location, but why they have to push the gay lifestyle onto everyone is beyond me. Also some of the hotel staff are still wearing masks at front desk.

Summary: Buildings in downtown Calgary are connected by climate controlled bridges. They are clean and safe to walk on. We tried walking to the Core mall but we’re both slow walking seniors and have to turn back. We did take an Uber to the Chinook mall for CAD$12.00 though. Also clean and lots of stores and restaurants to choose from. The Westin itself is the perfect place to stay in!
