Positive: Very welcoming and just a natural relaxing pub in a great location. Great traditional values and idiosyncratic in the best way. Parking isn't close so has to be considered as Smithfield is possibly the closest. 15 mins walk but great value. Will return !!!
Negative: Hard to book an evening meal ... when busy.

Positive: We were made to feel so welcome ! Karen & Steve ànd son George are exceptional hosts. Thé facilities ànd location are super ànd thé ambiance at The Wheatsheaf is second to none. We loved our short stay and hope to return soon! It was a genuine pleasure to stay at this lovely pub.
Negative: Can’t fault it. Great value and warm friendly hosts

Positive: Great location, friendly staff especially at breakfast. Good breakfast. Great little pub with some excellent beers on tap, Timothy Taylors Landlord, Wye valley Butty Bach etc
Negative: Very disappointed to discover that we couldn’t get back into the property late! We were told we had to be back by 12.00 midnight which was a real shame as we’d gone to see our friend in a show at the theatre and we couldn’t spend much time with her! Never known a property charging that much not to have a coded door or an outside key for residents! If I’d known we wouldn’t have booked but the info is not on ‘Booking’ or their website! Some parts looked tired, threadbare carpet, no lamp shade, broken bed base and loo roll holder….
Summary: Lovely staff, disappointing restrictions and condition.
