Positive: The location here is outstanding and we like the fact that it was basically like living in someone else’s house with everything available and very well stocked
Negative: Nothing to complain about at all The central Heating was a bit troublesome and we had to get it re-lit

Positive: Location was amazing - right on the lake's edge - it was lovely to sit in the hot tub with a glass of wine and look out onto the lake. The garden was lovely and I can imagine in Spring and Summer it would be glorious to sit out and have a picnic. The fireplaces were brilliant and there was loads of wood to get a roaring fire going. It was winter so it was lovely to cosy up by the fire in the evening. Central heating was also very effective and for such a large house it was warm. Kitchen had everything you could possibly require for cooking. Beds comfy too. Kerry came and met us once we had checked in and gave us some local top tips which were useful and a tour of the house .
Negative: There wasn't anything to dislike - whilst the house is older, so maybe not as fancy as others, we felt very welcome. The driveway is steep, as others have mentioned, but there is plenty of turning space at the bottom to get in and out so not an issue at all.

Positive: Perfect location on the Lake, beautiful views. Very spacious The heating, fireplace was lovely to relax at night in the Winter. Access to the kayaks was fab and spa hot tub to relax after being out on the water. Nice touches such as heated blankets, coffee machine and movies, music and games.

Positive: Amazing view of the lake with a lovely sunrise. Many choices for movies. Beds were comfortable and clean. Big and nice bathroom.
Negative: Ants were a problem. A chocolate bar we left out in the kitchen had some bit marks that look like it was done by a rat but we had to throw it away to be safe.

Positive: We had an amazing stay at The Willows in Rotorua. The location right on the lakefront is absolutely stunning — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Kerry, the owner, was incredibly responsive with excellent communication throughout. The house is spacious and well set up for multiple families, with plenty of heating options to keep you warm and cosy. The spa was a lovely added bonus, especially with the pristine views over the water. We were even able to watch the Matariki drone show from the property, which was such a special experience. Overall, great value for money — highly recommended!
