Welcome to the Yellow Feather Cottage, a private refuge tucked away from the world and cleverly hidden by the splendor of surrounding native bushland and gardens unique to the Blue Mountains.
Located in the delightful hamlet of Wentworth Falls and cusp of Leura. Private and spacious, surrounded by native bushland and established gardens. The cottage enjoys views over gently sloping, expansive green grounds. Immersed in nature, take in the beauty, peace and solitude- just what is needed to unwind.
All this, whilst still maintaining a short distance to Wentworth Falls Village, Leura Mall, Upper- Mountains walking trails, spectacular look-outs, cafes and gorgeous boutique shops.
Arise to the ambient sound of native birds including the majestic Black Cockatoo, frequent visitors to these grounds. Here, lush garden views populate every window. A mixture of cascading ferns, rhododendrons, camelias and Spring-time cherry blossoms. The kitchen is fully-equipped for all your needs and we recommend evenings in the dining room, watching the sun gently set behind a backdrop of trees.
After a day of adventure and exploration, take a relaxing, warm soak in the bath tub. There are plenty of comfy little reading nooks to immerse yourself in a good book. The lounge area has a Smart HD television and soundbar. Curl up on the sofa as the mountain mist rolls in on a rainy day. Including, Netflix, Disney Channels and exclusive Samsung TV channels.
Minutes away from Wentworth Falls lake and close proximity to several outstanding Blue Mountains walking trails, including the infamous Charles Darwin walk and the Wentworth Falls waterfalls. The cottage is a short 10 minute drive to the Three Sisters, Katoomba.
Wentworth Falls & Leura Village are both an equal distance away of five- minutes, if driving, or approximately 30 minutes if walking. Spend a day exploring the local eateries, cafes, galleries and boutique shops.
For groceries & supplies in Wentworth Falls Village, The Lemon Tree Grocer is handy, D'Vine cellars and the notorious Patisserie Schwarz for baked goods. Otherwise Woolworths, behind Leura Mall has a larger selection.

Summary: We stayed there for almost 3 weeks and loved it. Everything clean, comfortable and spacious. The nearby highway and railway tracks are noticed very few times a day, if at all, and are more than compensated for by the great and quiet view over the park the home is facing. Very central location when visiting the Blue Mountains.

Summary: Simple well equipped hideaway perfect for couples and small family groups. We loved opening up the house to enjoy the garden and bird life with our afternoon drinks. The kitchen is small, but well stocked with appliances and utensils.

Summary: We loved our stay at Laurice's property. It has everything you would need for a short stay and the place was sparkling clean when we arrived. The location is excellent, close to Leura and Katoomba. Theres room to run around the house and in the morning you can watch the birds around the birdbath. Definitely recommended!!

Summary: Not private and peaceful !! Should state in listing that owner lives within metres from the cottage you can't see in photos listed because they are taken from the houses direction. There were cars driving up and down driveway and owners were cutting down trees and lawns during our stay !! During the night the whole cottage literally shakes from the trains every hour atleast !! The place had a bad smell the moisture in the air and dust made us so congested and allergic. A pillow even had mould on it !! The Bathroom floods when you have a shower the the drains were all blocked and the vanity hot water didn't even work. Disappointed !!

Summary: This is a very thoughtfully appointed cabin with everything you need for a stay in the Blue Mountains As a bonus it has excellent internet and a very nice smart TV in case there is a rainy period. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our kids 7 & 9 loved both the indoors space and the gardens outside. Highly recommended!

Summary: This is a delightful place to stay - beautifully quiet and relaxing. The layout is superb and they have thought of everything you might need whilst you stay.
