Positive: The staff were amazing, the best we could hope for. Went out of their way to help us and fulfill our requests. They were absolutely awesome! The facilities were clean and felt new. Good breakfast, which is made especially for you. Hot water in the shower. Right near the church with several restaurants nearby. Amazing views. Overall, we had a lovely stay. .

Negative: The only things we didn't like were: It feels like they are still renovating, so there are a few things missing: No wifi in the room (and no cell reception either), cannot buy there drinks or food. We believe it will be resolved in a few weeks. If you don't drive a car there, it's a 20 minute walk from the entrancr to Theth where the buses and taxis drop you off, and where the larger market is located. The road in the village is not paved, so carrying a suitcase to this hostel is challenging. The shower is designed poorly, getting the whole room wet while showering. Walls are thin and you might hear guests from other rooms.

Positive: The owner is very friendly and helped us with everything we need. The breakfast is always very nice.

Negative: Sometimes the power went out. The location is a bit hard to find as there’s no sign and no point from google maps. It is after the church called Kisha e Thethit. See the building there, compare it with the photo, then you’ll find the building.

Positive: Perfect location with beautiful scenery surrounding the property. The host was incredible and made us feel like family. Closer to the start of the trail to the waterfall/blue eye making it a great choice. Host also arranged a transfer for us to Shkoder making it very simple. Rooms and beds were extremely comfy. Would recommend!

Positive: Good location. It was clean and simple. No frills. Great help from the owner who gave us extra blankets and a hairdryer. They also organised the pick-up van to take us to Shkoder. I enjoyed the traditional breakfast too!

Negative: Only one towel to use for everything. The bathroom is a wet room so you get the whole floor and toilet wet when you shower. It was fine for us but could see it being a bit annoying for a prolonged stay. The rooms temperature are moderated by the outside temperature. So when it was cold in the evening it was cold in the room.

Positive: The owner was charming, informative and helpful. Generous and good breakfast. The bed and covers were comfortable and cosy! Good hot water for shower.

Negative: No bedside lights and no hooks to hang wet towels.

Summary: Good clean simple guesthouse. They have plans to add a cafe next year.

Positive: Excellent location with modern looking rooms, very close to the church and start of the trail to the Blue Eye. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing and consistent (milk, honey and fig jam were absolutely stunning). Also there are two restaurants at a walking distance for dinner options. We loved Albania!
