Pepper & Pine is a blend of the rustic roots of Eastern Kentucky and the modern flare of today's society curating a unique & cozy experience. Only 3miles from Natural Bridge State Park, 6.5miles from the Red River Gorge, 3.5miles from Nada Tunnel, guests are able to access hiking trails & major attractions with only a short commute.
Our stairs are NOT very kid friendly! Families please be sure to note this. Also, during the winter months we do advise all wheel or 4WD.
Indoor Fireplace is not operable! Just for looks.
Walk right in from the driveway - no stairs! This property is fully stocked with all the modern day amenities. Guests have full access to the home, front lawn, fire pit, small charcoal grill, driveway and parking. Our space will hold up to 4 vehicles.

Summary: Beautifully decorated and great location. Main downstairs toilet was inoperable - which was a minor inconvenience when listing said 2 full bathrooms. Limited communication with mgmt - we thought we would be 45 minutes early and sent e-mail - we received a “canned response back that did not acknowledge our original question - however it was a non issue as we got stuck in traffic and were right on time. Overall the location and decor were great - area around is beautiful and great to explore so we didn’t get to enjoy the property that much. Only thing lacking was the personal touch and communication.

Summary: This little place is very cute and is exactly as pictured. The location is great, with easy access to both Red River and Natural Bridge parks. BUT! Communication with property managers is terrible. First, I asked if we could check in one hour early, as the weather derailed our plans for a short hike on the day of our arrival. They said they would check and get back to me. Never got back to me. So, we showed up about 45 minutes early. We caught the cleaning person as she was headed out. She told us one of the toilets was leaking, we were not to use it, and she would let the property manager know immediately. We quickly realized this meant one of us (two middle-aged women who both get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night), would have to use the precarious (albeit beautiful) spiral staircase in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I reached out to property management (Friday afternoon). Immediately I received a response asking what the issue was. I responded and asked for them to let us know when it was going to be fixed. On Saturday morning, I emailed again asking for an update on the toilet repair. I received no response. On Sunday morning, before we checked out, I sent a message letting them know that we were disappointed and I would reach out to discuss an adjustment on Monday. I sent an email requesting a partial refund on Monday along with several requests for a response to my request throughout the week. Six days later, still no response.

Summary: We chose to spend our Honeymoon in Red River Gorge as a quiet getaway to spend together to unwind from the stress of weddings. We typically vacation in the mountains of Gatlinburg and wanted a similar experience without the distance as we have a special needs infant at home. Of all the cabin I've stayed in through the years, Pepper & Pine was the cleaniest and most accomodating. Exceptional stay all the way around! We loved the personal touches of the cabin and the "off the grid" setting so close to all the area activities. Check-in and out we simple and our stay was great. Very impressed with this hidden treasure and we'll be back for sure!

Summary: Loved the little touches to make it feel like home. Location was perfect and so was the view with the floor to ceiling windows. Beds were super comfy and the little fire pit on the deck was perfect for the cold nights. Wi-fi was not strong enough to stream any shows but they had Dish service. Coffee maker was a Keurig and hot chocolate was provided but no coffee. There was nowhere to buy Keurig coffee anywhere nearby. The cabin was beautiful and the staircase was so interesting to look at as a centerpiece in the living space. I'd definitely go back to this place and would highly recommend it anyone looking for a place to stay in Red River Gorge.

Summary: The cabin was great, had everything you could want and then some. But the real star of the show is all the incredible hiking trails!! We had the most fun out of any vacation we had ever been on and would not hesitate to go back.
