Summary: We loved our stay at this charming and cozy family resort! Our cabin was adorable and clean with a lovely vintage feel. The beach and lake were clean and quiet and the resort provided lots of fun toys for free. We enjoyed a wonderful time using the kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat and beach toys. Diana was a wonderful host! Always available and friendly and provided us with all of the information we needed prior to our stay! We appreciated the spotty wifi as it gave a chance to disconnect and enjoy the lake and fun family game nights! Great location and overall wonderful experience. We hope to be back again!

Summary: Quiet, charming resort. They were doing road work next to the property which caused excess noise beginning at 530 each morning, but this was no fault of resort owner. It was just an inconvenience to guests.

Summary: Diana is always accommodating. We had some trouble with bees at the cabin we rented, however, Diana was able to set us up in another cabin closer to the lake and much bigger. It was a nice trip and we will definitely return.

Summary: We didn't mind the simple, rustic cabin (once the kids adjusted!) and loved the beautiful beach and lake time. We highly enjoyed time at the beach, canoeing, and relaxing on the pontoon. It was a perfect and restful get-away. The kids loved swimming, feeding the fish and building sandcastles. The owner was very helpful and hospitable. We would highly recommend this property.

Summary: I was looking for a quick, CHEAP, getaway and this was perfect! Cabin was spotless, and located close to Baxter, Brainerd, Nisswau, etc. Owner Diana is a sweetheart. Resort is best suited for families with children, as there are paddleboards, kayaks, toys and play areas at the beach (kids were fishing off one dock). Lake is clean, but small; we paddle-boarded around it easily (slowly) in 2 hours. We used Shady Hollow as our base camp, and enjoyed day trips and sunsets on Gull Lake (at the fabulous Mexican restaurant, Zorbaz) and nearby Whipple Beach.
