Set on a beautiful rural property within the stunning Hunter Valley vineyards, we offer a purpose built ground flour apartment. A calm and peaceful place to unwind. The apartment boasts quality finishes and modern facilities for your comfort and enjoyment. Set on the heritage listed Great North Road, you will be surrounded by nature, history and everything else that the Hunter Valley is famous for. Do as little or as much as you want.
A convict built box culvert is only 10 metres from our front gate (see photo). Kangaroos and other wildlife are daily visitors to the property. The shelves in the apartment are dressed bridge supports that are over 100 years old. We have an extensive herb garden, near your deck, for your use if you choose to eat in, rather than enjoy one of the multitude of fabulous local restaurants.
There is no public transport in the area so a car is a must. A short drive will find you at local wineries, Michelin hatted restaurants and many interesting activities and sites. Here, you are spoilt for choice.
We are centrally located between the towns of Cessnock, Kurri Kurri and Maitland which are only a short drive away. There you can find activities, supermarkets, tourist information centres, and most facilities you would expect to find in a popular regional town.

Summary: My friends and I had the perfect weekend at Peter's place. Generous hospitality, peaceful location and well equipped little apartment. We cooked on several occasions here and especially enjoyed our breakfast on the sun drenched porch. Definitely recommend to couples/friends looking for a relaxing getaway that's still a manageable drive from nearby townships and wineries.

Summary: Well appointed room really clean and the owner Peter communicated well before and at check in. He then left us alone (which suited us) but we knew he was only a phone call away. The location was perfect for us and also very close to the wineries. Thanks so much Peter and also the nice touch of chocolates and wine most appreciated

Summary: Peter was really good with the communication, provided some extra details for the location (since the mapping services can get a bit confused) and even provided an instruction video to help us get checked in smoothly. The place is a nice size, clean and has everything we needed with some nice touches throughout. Couldn't ask for more.

Summary: We had an amazing stay! The accomodation was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We loved having access to the herb garden and also got to say hello to the alpacas. Thank you Peter and Steph for your kindness and generosity, we loved the wine, chocolates and coffee. Would highly recommend!

Summary: We really enjoyed staying at this wonderful Hunter rural hideaway. It's very beautiful and peaceful and very nicely presented. The sightings of the kangaroos morning and evening were a bonus. The accomodation is very clean and modern and the bed was super comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. Peter was extremely helpful and accomodating and the complimentary wine and chocolates were appreciated. Thank you for hosting us.
