Summary: A friend & I were in town for the Iowa-Purdue game & this location was perfect! So peaceful & quiet & the hot tub was a wonderful way to relax in the evening. Dawn & Chad were great & went out of their way to help during a freak wind storm that took out power lines on our second night. Dawn did everything she could to get us into a new place for the night & when this was not possible, Chad helped set us up with a generator to run the basics & make sure we were as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. Their communication was amazing through the whole process & they made what could have been an awful experience bearable. Thanks again to both of you!! Laurie

Summary: This is a house that was even better than the pictures / listing! I mean, it looked great in advance, but was even more stunning in person. So very clean, warm and welcoming- even tastefully decorated for Halloween! The deck and the hot tub were perfect for an October stay, treating us to fall colors along the river. Dawn was so easy to communicate with, very friendly and quick to respond. We were there to visit our freshman at Purdue for family weekend and I had a hard time finding anything closer so decided to try this house. Well, we would do it again! So lovely and peaceful - just wish we had more time to enjoy it. I would love to book longer in the future to be able to spend time relaxing at this beautiful home! Highly recommend!

Summary: Literally the perfect getaway for any occasion. So peaceful, the host is very friendly and patient (especially with a girl who worries a lot and had a lot of questions haha!) Great spot for a fish loving husband who has a wife that just wants to relax! Easily keep your eye on your husband from the hot tub as he fished!! Perfectly placed in between delphi and monticello if you are wanting to get out of the house and explore. The house itself is very welcoming, clean and smells good, it was hard to believe others had stayed in the house before us. I will definitely be back on our next getaway!

Summary: Our family loved this cottage on the river! We were able to relax on the deck and watch the hummingbirds, blue herons, geese, and bald eagle from the comfortable patio furniture. The whole family loved the hot tub. And my boys had a blast with the foosball coffee table. They also enjoyed watching shows on apps accessed via the Firestick that we don't currently stream at home. All of our needs were covered, though a washer and dryer would have been handy. I just had to make sure I packed enough clothes to cover our entire stay plus extras for my active boys. There were fun extras we didn't even use, like the firepit, because we were in the area to visit my dad and take the boys to Indiana Beach, the small amusement park that I grew up going to. One important note for perspective visitors: cell service (at least for AT&T) is spotty at best as you get closer to the cottage, and even in other local areas near the river. You will probably want to write down directions and other important information so that you don't get lost or have to backtrack to where you have service to help you access the cottage. The Wifi at the cottage works well, and the owner suggests switching to wifi calling once there. We did not try that. If you are looking for a beautiful place to unwind after fun local activities, I would definitely recommend this cottage. It would also be great for Purdue alumni or fans coming to West Lafayette to watch a game or parents visiting their kids for a weekend. I know as a Purdue alum, I would have enjoyed getting away from campus and having a study break at a place like this when I was a student. Hint, hint, parents. :)
